Ouch!

Kia > Mazda

playdoh43 08-10-2007 08:17 AM

this survey is on 3 year old cars, notice the big drop by Mazda from 2003 to 2004, it just happens to be the same model year that rx8 was introduced :-p

j/k

Seems like certain American brands are not as bad as some people think and certain Japanese brands like Nissan and Mazda are not that great. Porche is very inconsistent, great 1 year crappy the next...

Anyways, if I'm not mistaken, it looks like Mazda has climbed up a handful of spots. I think last year they were second to last.

Infinity must be thanking god for land rover. without whom they'd be under the industry average.

Yeah, I think you're right. I think I'm thinking of customer satisfaction index or something.

Here's 2005:

At least the MX-5 retained its crown

Go Buick go! Hahaha!

I'm not surprised about Buick. I put almost 300k miles on a '91 Park Avenue before I traded it in back in '02. It originally belonged to my dad but he gave it to me after I graduated from college. They're still putting that same 3.8L V6 in almost all of their cars and SUV's. It's pretty much bulletproof. Plus how hard do the "blue hairs" really push their Buicks? LOL.

I'm not surprised by VW either. My sister sued VW a few years back after the knowingly sold her a "certified pre-owned" Passat that was a lemon law buy-back from the 1st owner. It went through batteries at a clip of about 1 or 2 month. Every time it was the same BS from the dealer trying to tell my sister each successive problem wasn't related to the previous one. It took a demand letter threatening litigation from her lawyer before they took her seriously. Bunch of the female sales reps I work with drive Jettas and GTI's and they're consistently having electrical problems as well. Even if their entire line wasn't distinctly effeminate, I still would never buy a VW.

im mostly suprised at jaguar, a brand known for having problems making it very high on the list. good for them. bmw is also impressive. Mercedes Benz also made a lot of ground to become one of the more reliable brands
