Ideas for High School Car Club.
 

I've decided to start a car club @ my high school...and since it's a pretty strict school, I really need some good ideas of what we could do..in terms of activities that doesn't get us expelled heh. Any ideas?

Does the activity have to be AT school? Will it be a sanctioned club?

nope it can be out of school

but our like dean is super crazy and if a bunch of were to be pulled over, he'd somehow find out etc.

i do have to inform some club manager what the intent of the club was etc.

Sanctioned means the school recognizes that your club can operate on campus and your school approves of the intent. IE - that you have a car club and will be doing car related activities.

Then to stay out of hot water - think "1/3". Have one charity type event for every three events total (shows the school they will get a "return" on their club. Car washes; drives for charity; local parades etc.

Talk to the auto shop teacher and see if he will sponsor it - after school install parties etc. When I was in HS; we built up a Pinto into a 10 sec car in autoshop class.

Then - the big one would be trying to get some track time or HPDE versus doing the typical cruise type thing where someone WILL act like an ass and get a ticket = death to club.

If you think education (car related); charity / community involvement as selling points for each activity; you should be able to talk them into most stuff.

i was also planning to do things like drive in a group to sport events or grab lunch after school somedays etc.

Oh one more - adopt an Army Dive Team - and mail them a car care package for the Turbocharger Land Cruiser.

when i was in highschool we had a club called echelon, and we rolled to milpitas every thursday night to the runs. Eventually we found out there was another group of kids called echelon, and since they were muscle and we were just a bunch of ricers, we had to change our name. The end
