I need some advice, probably legal advice FML
 

So after my company backed up from giving me a vehicle for winter I decided to buy a beater car and garage my 8. I found this 98 Camry and it was in great condition considering it is 13 years old car with 133k miles on it. After I got it, last Wednesday, I went for an oil change (what I do with any car I buy used). I went to this new place because I had a coupon in the mail and here comes the problem. I smelled this wired smell coming from my heater today and I opened the hood and realized they over filled the oil by a lot.:rant: Oil was coming out and burning on engine.:wallbash: They were already closed when I found this so I am planning to go there first thing tomorrow morning.

My questions are what might get damaged by doing this? Can I drive the car there tomorrow? What should be my tone tomorrow cause I think they should pay for any damages that this might cause right?

Can I ask them to pay for checking my car at different shop of my choice cause I don't trust them anymore.

I would highly recommend that you DON'T drive the car tomorrow. Oil is flammable...
that being said, I've driven with oil in the engine compartment with my truck and didn't have any problems. ;)

If you see oil is burning on the engine, is driving further classed as suicide?

The sooner you get it fixed the better. But having way too much oil messes with the pressure and can possibly blow seals, gaskets etc. among other things.

I've always thought that any place that works on cars should have to pay for any damages that come directly from something they screwed up. You trusted them with your car, you paid them money, they screwed up your property, they should have to pay for it to be fixed.

I would just like to point that I only drove my truck to work, then went straight to the carwash after and cleaned out the oil!

Honestly when I saw that I would not care cause recently everything is going wrong in my life. I always check the oil level myself after oil changes since this happened to me once in Chicago and cost me close to $1000 plus my car. This one time I didn't check it since it is freezing cold here and sure enough it should happen one more time now.:mad:
