If you think that's a great number, check out the Opel Eco Speedster:
113 mpg (yes, US Gallons) or 2.5l on 100 km. http://www.cardesignnews.com/autosho...-ecospeedster/ It's a 4 cyl diesel as well. The Eco Speedster was presented already 2 years ago! Unfortunately not avail for purchase. |

Wow... look at the numbers. Don't let the 1/4 mile speed fool you, that is the AVERAGE speed in the 1/4 mile from a standing start. With an average speed of 54.198 MPH, the Accord did the 1/4 mile in 16.61 seconds!
Not bad! And gets 70+ MPG in more sane driving conditions. |
Heh 1/4 mile in 16 seconds, that's the same time as the new Chevrolet SSR (according to Edmund's).
