Can this be this right?

It appears to still be in Japan if I am reading this right, so it means it is not naturalized to the U.S.

I believe legalizing a car to the U.S. can cost something near the price of that car, so even if it is that cheap to buy add another 10k just so you can drive it on the street.

The thing is, most R34's sell for about 46k even out of the country. R32's dont sell much cheaper. 10k for that car is a steal (assuming it runs).
The LHD conversion will cost you quite a bit of money though and then you have to go through CARB certification I believe.

Then again, this is a 1990 model.

It does seem fairly cheap, but I just wanted everyone to know its not as cheap as it appears.:)

Is that really suprising? It's almost 15 years old. However, as cueball pointed out that price is deceptive. After you figure in the cost to ship it to the US and have it made street legal and maintain it (where are you gonna get parts?), you could get a really clean Supra TT for less money.

Icemastr 11-14-2004 04:00 PM

Thats really not all that cheap, you can pick up the older GTR-32's for a bit less than that. Also a lot of cars have been held up at Motorex for months recently due to legalization issues, somethign with the government, its been a few weeks since I was checking up on it so I don't know if anything new has happened but a few owners are getting a attorneys against the only place that can legalize them for the US.

DOMINION 11-15-2004 05:27 AM

Well see thats what I was thinking (I did read in one of my 20mag's I get every month) that this guy got a killer GT-R for $30K. It was blue too.

RXE16T 11-15-2004 05:33 AM

Skylines are more common than the 8 while the GTR's are about as common as an FD over here in Australia.... it just shocks me how rare they are over in the States.

So are you going to trade up for one now? ;)

DOMINION 11-15-2004 05:53 AM

You know right know I am looking into a new home. But if not for that I would say this or a Toyota Supra would be my next car.
