Generic dealer descriptions mean nothing. It's easily ~$4,000 lower than it should be, but that appears to be explained by the rebuilt title. It could be a huge problem, or not one at all.

This is a better question to ask over on Miata.net. While some of us also/used to own Miatas, it's not really the target audience to ask :)

will do thanks for the suggestion. and out of curiosity do you know what the rebuilt thing could mean

It means that this vehicle was totaled at some point in the past, and someone bought it, repaired it enough that their state's DMV was willing to issue a rebuilt title.

The two VERY big questions about rebuilt title cars are:
A) Was it actually fully repaired?
B) Was it totaled for something stupid and there is no damage? (example, if an NA series Miata has an OEM hardtop stolen, it technically totals the car, as the replacement cost of an OEM hardtop is ~$3,500 vs a car value of under $5,000)

You may also have problems getting insurance companies to insure rebuild cars, or banks willing to issue loans to buy them.

after going on the miata website they thought i was a troll that was trying to sell a ridiculous car. they said the price on the car was ridiculous with around 65% intrest rate and other than that nothing that bad

do the math, if the car is 320$ a month for 36 month with a 1000 down thats an obsured price and adds up to $12,520

He was just copying the dealer description, which includes their obviously overpriced financing offer. The financing offer has nothing to do with the integrity of the car they are selling.

If you want to look up absurd financing rates, go look at Western Sky...

I found the thread. One guy is wondering if you are a troll, the rest are too focused on the financing as well.

I'd stay away from it just because of the rebuilt title. You can find clean title 1999s (same body style) for the same price.

Try Cars.com and Autotrader.
