GM Needs To Bring These Cars Stateside

And to Canada, too.

What's the problem? Why can't or won't they do it?

They'd sell a ton. 'The 192 hp (141 kW) OPC/VXR version went on sale in early 2007, with a 1.6 L turbocharged petrol engine powering the front wheels.'

Look at the interior and check out the specs, including mpg.

C'mon, Maximum Bob. Get on it.

Wow, I didn't even notice that. It is a rotor.

I am loving this car. Very flat handling on that track.

Same chassis?

The motor offerings aren't the same. I mean, you can't get the 192 hp version here.

If it's the same car, I'd like to see a OPC version.

The "Americanization" of the Opel would be as follows:

-> It would lose the turbo and be just a straight 4-cylinder. 120 HP, so what? It gets 38 EPA highway miles!!!!!11!1!!
-> It would only be available with a 4-speed automatic
-> It would have as standard, 15" steel wheels with plastic wheel covers
-> It would have the same seats as the Aveo
-> Gm execs would be slapping each other on the back and pimpin the car like it was the best thing since Swiss cheese. "Did you hear me? 38 EPA highway miles!!!!"

...oh yeah, and it would lose the rotor.

You're right.

Just look at the difference in the interior, for starters. Granted, the Corsa is a higher end, turboed model in Europe, but still...

Night and day.

192 hp in a car that light, with a proper suspension? It would sell beyond GMs capacity to make them here.

They have to de-neuter everything here, it seems. Sad.
