General Motors Financial Status
Didn't see this anywhere else.
More of GM's financial woes highlighted in this article. Wonder if Kerkorian is interested in "just investment", or much more. http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/050504/gm_kerkorian.html?.v=13 |
Well, the stock price was $27.77, he buys them for $31 (very generous),
everyone is excited, the stock price jumps to $32.80. He could sell next day and make $1.80 on each (he bought 28 million shares) = 50 mill profit. Well, just laugh at me, I've never bought stock, so I probably overlook something like transaction fees that would eat profits up. Maybe he really wants to help GM, not just make more money. < dreaming > |
Looks to me like he wants to take some shots at their board. He attempted to make the same move with Chrysler until Mercedes intervened.

Just wait till GM is making all their cars in china to cut costs.
