I like it. I hope they make it into something on the sportier side though. They keep talking about the Mondeo which is European Taurus-type car (only nicer), which makes me think they might turn this into a boring car with exciting looks.

I agree with MikeB: Check out that front fender/wheel well.

It definitely resembles the rx8 ... crazy scary! It looks like an 8 with a more finicky back end! Love the gullwing doors ... too bad they say it's unlikely. Interior looks sleek but also hauntingly similar to ours!

Hope this thing doesn't make it anywhere. Just because Ford helped Mazda doesn't mean they should make cars that are similar.!!!!!! STAY AWAY.

Yeah, aside from the front fender flares, I don't see a whole lot of similarity. At all.

borrowing a lot from the 8, kinda makes me feel good, that another one of the companys divisions is so inspierd by the car.

it looks like a fat, ugly rx-8

and this made me laugh
Fords are already exciting to drive. Better than many of the admired 'premium' brands.
do these guys work for ford?

Yeah, Ford might be an American company, but they save the good stuff for everyone else. Lame.

ford loves its strong ties to europe, including at one point almost buying ferrari, but they do make quite a few great cars for the other markets 'accross the pond' , even the focus is better in europe....

I love the car! Best looking Ford ever (besides the GT). Althought the back end is alittle to similar to the new XK.

I like it too. Something close to this is what Ford needs to put into production. They need to be bold, fresh and exciting in their designs. The "retro" Stang is fine. It's what Stang lovers and old time Stang lovers wanted. The 500... ewww. Focus.... ewww. Need I go on?

I like it as well.... the Five Hundred mind you.. could have been saved. That had potential to come off as a decent poor man's luxury ride (just like the stang is a poor mans high performer) but they screwed it majorly.

But as they say.. it wont happen... why are these US manufacturers so chicken **** to step out and do something???

They should make it, bring it over here and sell it as the Ford Probe. Ford needs a sporty, import type gt car to go against the Z, RX8, coming Supra, etc. The Mustang is a musclecar, not a track car.

They have no intention of making it....it's just a way to share their thoughts for Ford's design future

Which is why Ford is dumb. That's why D/C is designing more interesting cars then they are. TOo bad the Magnuma/300C has just a crappy looking interior and no stick. Otherwise... I might actually want to test drive on with the Hemi.
