First Ever Lexus IS CONVERTIBLE!

Don't know if this is old news on this site, but I came across this today:

The First Ever IS Convertible

What do you guys think of the 350 version (giving 306hp/277tq)?

Fastest hard-top convertible change ever?!?! (21 seconds!)

Also, if anyone knows the DIMENSIONS (overall length, overall width, and overall heighth with the top up) please let me know asap! I can't find it anywhere!

Pretty sweet imo...lexus finally made a convertible that doesn't look like an old-lady car.

Not bad but as with most non-purpose built convertibles, IMO, it looks best with top up. I'm more interested that it is a 2-door IS but have never been big on drop tops and can only assume that this would be heavier than the sedan, which is the IS that I would choose. Still. I would have to agree that this one easily blows away the SC400/430 convertibles in the desirability department and looks to be a nice convertible if that's what you are into. I would like to see some body styling enhancements similar to (but not as extreme as) on the IS-F for the sportiest version to remove a little bit of the blandness.

I don't know... it's okay. Not great, not bad, just okay.

I'd definitely go for the 335i convertible coupe instead.

ehh...the lexus is faster, more reliable, and it is $39k. The Beamer is quite a bit more for the 335i convertible...

looks ugly with the top up though.

they showed this at the dallas auto show a few months back. It's a decent looking car, but it's actually smaller than you'd expect. With the top down, there is literally no trunk space.

No, Miata PRHT takes 12 seconds.

:squint:

I'm trying my best to like it but something just doesn't look right. I can't point it out though.

=) I'd take the Miata PRHT anyday =)
