exhaust somke
 

I have about seven months left on my fac warranty. When I start my RX8 it smoke really bad. Blue somke smells like it has been flooded. The tail pipe is always black dealer says this is common for the RX8? I have read some of the post but found nothing about the black tail pipe. Each time I see an RX8 around town the first thing I check in the exhaust pipe none are as black as mine. There is host of other things but like most I love my RX8 and keep hoping tht it will all go away but I am a realist. One other MAJOR problem is what I think is low compression(dealer does not) and that it send to misfire when the engine is rev just replaced plugs and wires in 11/07. :sweatdrop :sweatdrop

It would seem that you're burning too much oil. We all burn some of course, and all have some blackening of the exhaust, but your's sounds excessive. Have the dealership check the oil metering system.

yup, shouldnt have clouds of smoke comming out. something wrong
