the interior is ok, and the center stack is decidely german (even down to the 1 cupholder!), which isn't a bad thing imo.

it looks really good but

Where is the SkyActiv-G Mazda 3 for US ?

When will we get the SkyActiv-D ? yeah I know a year later but, When exactly ? -_-

I want to switch to SkyActiv but I'm not so sure if it's worth the price to switch from my Current Mazda3 to SkyActiv-G Mazda3, that's if they will even have it this year.

Skyactiv II already scheduled for 2016...with even Higher Compression ratio's!!!!

From MMC Boss...

Further down the road, Mazda engineers are already looking at the post Skyactiv phase with new, high efficiency gasoline engines planned for 2016 which will have compression ratios of 20 to one, versus 14 to one today.
Compared with much larger automakers like Toyota and Honda whose products Yamanouchi describes as 'ordinary', Mazda will continue to be a relatively small volume player on a global scale. "We are not going to chase down every market but we will distinguish ourselves from the rest by our technology and driving dynamics," says Yamanouchi. "By defying convention we can be successful."

Interesting to see on the all new 2013 Mazda CX-5 SUV they have gone back to the old style of Accelerator Pedal which is hinged and attached to the floor.

Impossible for a "moving" floor mat to ride up and under the Accelerator Pedal.

I would expect this to be the same on all future generation Mazda's.

The relative lack of hp and torque will be a liability vs it's competition. It's not that much lighter than the field and most of them have 2.4 and 2.5 engines. The Mazda will kill them in driving dynamics and fuel economy but we'll see.

If I were in the market for an small SUV I would get CX-5 for sure.

Paul.
