Early video of STS Turbo system on Integra

seemed to get almost as decent a start as the camaro. Check it out.

What is the STS system, and I didn't see a camaro in that video.

Remote mounted turbo... do a search. Or, just goto www.ststurbo.com.

My bad... forgot to include the link for all the videos.

It really isn't and has been proved to work well. Search the forums for it and some of the experts share their knowledge of why it works well. I'm not too technically inclined so you're better off asking someone like Rotarygod, or just navigate their website, should be a plethora of information there.

i don't know. the way i see things is, if it works great, don't change it. if this STS system was that efficient in producing power, why isn't there more cars out there with it? and with a turbocharged system, the hotter the turbine, the more power. atleast, that's how i was always taught. makes sense after seeing all these ceramic coating companies. eh...i have a MR2 turbo w/ a lot of mods...FI just doesn't excite me anymore. i like the high revving motors you can just whip around :D

This is all covered in the thread in Aftermarket Performance. Bottom line, it's not the best solution for ultimate performance, but as long as you size the compressor housing to compensate for it's location it'll produce as much power as any out of the box turbo kit that is located in the conventional place. How many people are gonna go for ultimate performance anyway? Many would like the ease of install and removal for emissions purposes, tough to do with a conventional turbo setup.

i guess it's not really that bad of a setup. but what happens when you go over a speed bump? or better yet...drive in the rain, snow, etc. that thing isn't gonna last no longer than a rusted out exhaust sys. but i'm sure the engineers have though of that :D

They actually have videos on the site of a tacoma going through a very large body of mud and water. You can hear it spooling fine. Still, would not stop me from doing a little bit of modding and making sure she was protected.
