Driving+Cellphone = ........
F-ing idiot :D
BTW this occurred on the Highway at high speeds :) for article Linky Linky http://www.azstarnet.com/ss/2005/04/26/l72155-1.jpg |
hands free people!!
and that doesn't mean no hands on the steering wheel. :D |
lucky person
obviously they came to a rest in those positions... that car would FnF2'd (see Mustang) at highway speeds |
Its too bad the truck didn't finish him off...suspended license, recent arrests, drug paraphenelia, etc, etc...there goes my tax dollars.
|
And the bugger would do it all over again...
The truck shoulda made a pancake of his car... at least he woulda learnt something... if he survive. ;) |
I hate how cell phone drivers are everybody else's problem. Citations should be doubled (like on bridges or in construction zones) if you're caught talking on a cell during the crime.
|
Drove pased a guy reading a map on his steering wheel the other day he was doing 60 MPH but all over the road. Should be shot. Just made using a cellphone while driving illegal here but not many take notice.
|
I used to own a phone but its been almost a year without one and I think I've finaly kicked the deadly habit. :p
|
Maybe someone phoned them to tell them to watch out for that tanker, But was to late.
|
i drive on teh interstate everyday and within the last month ive seen people eating, reading maps (completely opened across the steering wheel and dashboard), applying makeup, talking on the cellphone, reading the newspaper, shaving, and making out. its the american way :(

No comment on the last bit. |

So we should ban passengers ?
|
Earlier today I noticed I was driving next to a guy with a clipboard on his steering wheel. Turns out he was filling out some rather complex looking form while doing about 55 down one of the busier/crazier roads in the area.

They are working on doing that for drivers under 18. I don't let my passengers talk too much, especially in traffic. Sorry.

Sorry but I can manage more than one task at a time, talking and driving no problem.
Laptops fit nicely in to some steering wheels. |

Laptops fit nicely in to some steering wheels. That is the point. No one believes they have a problem with this kind of multitasking, but the fact is you give up a significant amount of brain power to cognitive activities like reading and talking - brain power that is critical to your ability to react and judge in a driving situation. You think you are fine because you haven't been actually challenged, but you double, triple or even quadruple your reaction time while you simultaneously shorten your depth perception and judgment of distance and speed. I am a musician. I play keyboards and guitar. Sometimes I sing. I often do all three at the same time. I've carried on full conversations with a photographer while simultaneously playing rhythm on my guitar with my left hand and an improvised solo on the piano with my right. My cell phone is off when I drive because I am aware that my judgment is impaired. |
i passed a oldman ina minivan reading a novel on the garden state parkway. byt the way space bar is broken.

Comes in handy at cocktail parties.:p
The guitar part is played by clamping the chords with the left hand hard enough that they "ring" without being strummed. |
Blame it all on the automatic transmission

Now it is possible to really stuff your face while driving. Not to mention that any lazy twit can drive a car even if they lack the coordination to tie their own shoes. |
I would love to say I never drive and talk but I do
I have cut down and it makes a differnence I tend to speed when on the cell |
I have oberved that 99% of the time when someone is driving like an idiot its because they're on their goddamn phone. Doesn't help that the 5'3" soccer mom is driving a SUV the size of a Brinks Truck.
