Did i get a lemon?
My parents bought a new Porsche Cayenne S today (10K under sticker price btw). BUT to our dismay on the way home people were honking at us telling us our car was on fire and when we pulled over we saw a ton of smoke coming out the back of the car. The car arrived literally the day before we bought it and had under 5 miles prior to be bought by us. We are taking it back to the dealer to see whatsup but could this be because of some manufacturing residue left over that burned when we drove back? or is it a lemon?
any advice appreciated. edit: also it smelled pretty bad |
Contact a Lawyer that specializes in LEMONS, that way he can squeeze whatever he can out of the LEMON.

might want to wait and see what was smoking before you start freaking out. A plastic bag sucked up under the car while you're going down the road will smoke a ton and smell really bad... but that's not really anything you can sue over.

yeah im gonna bring it in tomorrow. hopefully its nothing big

+1 to the burning plastic bag. its been known to happen on rx8s. although cayennes have a bit more clearance underneath them. harder to snag, but it is possible.
it also could just be the catalytic converter was bad and it got toasted. that's a simple replacement. |
I got a plastic bag stuck under my 8 and it fucking smelled like ass but no smoke so i went to the gas station and had them clean my exhaust.
