to save wear on the auto tranny's 'P' locking mechanism... it is flimsy at best, always park with the e-brake on, regardless of transmission type

the car isnt in park it appears to be in neutral(if its even a car- its probbly an interior buck) but you should always set the PARKING BRAKE when parked.

interior buck= a physical mockup for the analysis of design aspects like: layout and packaging efficiency; visibility of instruments, controls and mirrors; reachability and accessibility; clearances and collisions; human performance; aesthetics and appeal.

for those who don't already know, China is notorious for making "knock-off" vehicles of name brand auto-makers. the gov't doesn't really care to enforce foreign copyright or patents to encourage & stimulate their economic growth- esp when it's domestic Chinese car makers doing the forging. so, for example... if u were to go car shopping there, u could go to either a bmw or jeep dealer and then walk 2 blocks down the street to fu man chu dealership and they have the exactly same X5 and Cherokee, knock-off's of course, for like half the price. <LOL> i'd like to see them knock off an 8. that would make for some funny discussion here. :P

I see some Lexus IS in the front end and interior. Just my opinion.

Not all of the forgeries are forged. Western Car makers such as GM have been shamed by crash test results from Chinese made licensed products like the LandWind (Isuzu Rodeo/Vauxhall Frontera 'clone'). In fact the 1980s Rodeo would fare badly in modern tests anyway, but it's still bad press.

Many cars start off being produced under licence and evolved from there. There is a VW-based people carrier which resembles the 1982ish Quantum/Passat (based on it).

The Fukang FW98 (IIRC) is a Citroen ZX, made under license, and in a 4-door sedan body never offered in Europe.

Not only does this go on, some manufacturers use this as a source for spare panels for cars out of production.
