Canadian CX-7 Drive Review

Deciding whether this is a compact, mid-size, or even full-size SUV is hard to pin down. Certainly the CX-7 is classified as a compact, but it is externally larger than some of the mid-size SUV I've driven in the last year. Internally, the CX-7 is certainly mid-size in passenger/cargo volume with ample space for five occupants and a 29.9-cu ft cargo space. The rear seat can not only carry three passengers in comfort, but also splits and folds 60/40 to stretch the cargo hold to 58.6-cu ft for cargo, and that nearly puts it in full-size bracket. You be the judge. By combining utility and style with a sports sedan persona, Mazda may just have put some zoom-zoom into a whole new segment. |
can't wait to test drive one.
