It looks like an 8...
Ok,honestly. The 6 is an awesome car and comes with the M5's engine. The only real difference in these cars is if you want a sedan or a coupe. Yea, I know the 5 looks dog ugly, and the 6's rear didn't fall far from the tree, but both are truely awesome cars...

Once you see an M5 in person, you will know just how beautiful a sedan can be... not to mention it sounds like a f*ing F! car at high revs.
Only car I MIGHT take over the new M5 is an CL65 AMG

Top gear also reviewed it but I have it in the full hour show and can't find it cropped. Jeremy hated almost everything about the car. The looks, the sound, the computerized i-drive and the complicated nav system. He hated everything...until he hit the power button and then totally loved the car...
I personnally hate the front batman lights and they really need to redo the rear end. Other then that and the critically abused i-drive system, the m5 is the best sports 4 door you can buy...

I still don't like the new BMW rear.
Overall I like it's looks and interior, yet continue to hate the added weight and loss of space to USELESS rear seats. Gosh...either make it useful or get those things out of there.

Apparently all the complaining about BMW's rear end is falling upon deaf ears. I just saw the new S class on the road, eerily similar rear end style. I like BMW's version better.
I've seen two on the road. One of them gave her leaving a stop light so he could merge over ahead of the pack. Sounded great. As well, one of my fathers clients bought one. I'm still waiting for the test drive. He let me drive his previous E39 M5, so hopefully I can snaggle a drive in the new one.

At about $90k... it had f'ing better be the greatest sports sedan built yet... it'd better be better than sliced f'ing bread. Sorry, but that is just too damn expensive for a 5 series BMW. Yeah yeah "M"... whatever. Start cranking M6 prices and I'd go Ferrari shopping instead. As someone had pointed out in another thread... at that point an extra $10k or so isn't going to matter to you.... and which would you rather have... M6 or 612 Scaglietti? Closer in price... Ferrari 430 or Ford GT...

i think the Bmw M6 is competing with the Mercedes SLK55 AMG. i think the SLK55 is a better deal though. i would choose the SLK55 over the M6 also cause of the looks
