Fiat has revealed the 'Sportiva Latina' concept car at the Barcelona International Motor Show. The concept, developed by the Fiat Research Center, won the Special Prize of the Jury for its ”innovative concepts for the vehicle of the future”.
The gull-wing concept displays a number of technological innovations, including a split frame chassis, steer-by-wire and an eye-centered positioning system: an automatic system for adapting steering wheel, seat and pedals to the driver, based on the height of his/her eyes and thus always ensuring the most ergonomically correct position. |
Do car companies actually make any money off of cars like these? How many can they possibly sell and how many do they need to sell to make a profit?
Just seems like a bunch of bored engineers with too much time on their hands. |

Just seems like a bunch of bored engineers with too much time on their hands. Believe it or not – but the Maybach Exelero concept was all about a newly developed generation of wide tires. Hey, the Mazda MX-Crossport design concept represents a new direction for Mazda ... and thanks to the auto show responses, there now seems to be real plans on building a version of the MX-Crossport concept, first shown at the 2005 Detroit auto show. Set for production in late 2006 or early 2007. And long before there was the RX-8, there was the concept RX01 and RX-Evolve! So I'm all about looking out for new concept cars! ;) |
Thats pretty cool. A little to cheap for my standards. :p
