Automatics

this question goes to any automatics out there... doesn't have to be about the rx8.... so here's the queestion... i always woundered that if ur in gear and roll the other way... would that damage/hurt the gears? like for example.... when i park my car into the garage... i always reverse in... and i have to go up this little well not crub but there's a lil step on it.... well sometimes i don't give it enough gas and the car rolls forward.... does that do any damgae to the gears? or is it ok? cuase reverse is for reverse but i'm rolling forward... samething goes for the drive gear too... if i roll back does it damage the gears? thanks!

nope...nothing wrong with that. just means the torque convertor isn't spinning the fluid fast enough to turn the planetary gears. just down drive down the highway and slam it in reverse :D
