Well, at least the wheel didn't fall off of the car this time around.
Not sure why he had trouble with the air gun when he got to the front right wheel on the #77, but he didn't have any issues with the left front wheel just moments before.

When is the next race again?

BC.

FAWK!
what does Mazda have to do to win a race this year.
I thought this was their race, Bomarito put in a brilliant stint but the 55 gets spun out with 30 minutes to go. ugh.

the whole race was crazy with LOTS of contact but I was hoping the 55 could keep clean

Yeah, he seemed to pick just the wrong time to pass a car that was about to go a lap down, and just got punted right in the middle of a corner.
Not much you can do about that. It has been open season on Team Mazda from the start of the season.

Maybe they will finally get things together for the last race, or maybe we will just have to wait for next year, with the new engine they will develop during the off season.
At least they kept racing this year instead of shutting things down as they did last year.

BC.

This car, with this engine is snakebit as i have said before. They need to start over with new engine and other team changes for next season. Right now, even good driving cant stop this beating of a dead horse. Sorry but this season is just about a washout.

Blade: yeah, I don't want to say it was a bad decision to try that pass in that turn as the upside was huge for the #55 in being able to put another car (traffic) between him and the #2 car but unfortunately I'm not sure that LMP2 car ever saw him coming. It was a high risk / high reward scenario that just didn't work out.
I thought the Mazdas ran GREAT yesterday (aside from that incident the 77 briefly had) especially when Bomarito was behind the wheel, he drove like a obsessed.

bummer this season didn't go as planned but it's had it's moments for Mazda and I honestly think they're getting better as they go.
Would be nice to see them on the podium before at Petitte LeMans.

p.s. anyone see that crazy Lambo crash in Saturday's race?

Perhaps the pressure for a win was getting to Tincknell and saw it imperative to get that LMP2 behind him. After clipping Porches RSRs, the team should know how bad the visibility is in these prototypes.
Tincknell was also part of the Joest deal, so I'm throwing more blame on them.

That was pretty crazy. Sheena was able to make a statement from the hospital but I haven't seen any report of how bad injuries are. Lamborghini said they looked at the car and there wasn't any brake failure.

And next year the DPis will be uncorked since they will not be BoPed to the LMP2s. Better hope that engine upgrade is definite, or maybe Mazda will be the BoP target.

Hope for a win next season?

I could not find video but kept tabs on timing and scoring. 2nd and 3rd at Petit Le Mans with only a 5 second gap to the leader.

hell of a race yesterday.
was nice to see Mazda leading the pack for some time but couldn't quite pull out the win.
I'll take 2nd and 3rd for now and hope they build momentum into next season . Hell, even Wayne Taylor Racing didn't win a race this season until yesterday.
