any idea what the speculation will be on available engine(s) or fuel economy?

A friend at Mazda gave me release date info on this car. I was not told I could share details so I will just say; It might not be called a 2015 :naughty:.

Any clue as to fuel economy though? High 40s for highway, high/mid 30s for city?

I would guess that we will get a version of the current Skyactiv 2.0 engine with the proper exhaust manifold and other minor upgrades so early 40s is my guess for hwy miles (With mid to high 40s capability).

That shape looks gross IMO. Looks like an Impreza mixed with an Focus.. I think the current 3 hatch is gorgeous. I don't like this.

No more Mazdaspeed 3......MZR ends on the new 3.
Which only leaves the MX-5 and Mazda 5 with MZR/Ford engines.

As we know all new MX-5 in about 18 months and a new 2, and new 3, from the Mexican plant.

There is no Turbo version of SA...yet.

Mazda are very busy at the mo.
