I don't know how I feel about it.
Mazda1 made me think of the BMW 1-series, so I got my hopes up for something really sweet. But it's just another econobox, which is really what's needed right now anyway, so I guess I shouldn't complain.

ok for the new trend here in EU.

also BMW and Audi have plans for this kind of cars.

But need a new platform IMHO

honestly, i hate these stupid economy boxes. i do not understand it at all. i mean if you look back really old civics were getting 40mpg when they first came out... so why do cars need to look like a hamster in heat just to get good gas mileage? why cant they just make a REAL car that gets 60 mpg. i mean seriously why is ever single eco friendly car, the ugliest thing on the road?

I believe weight has that issue nailed. Civics years ago got that mpg because they didn't have nearly half the airbags, sound reduction material, and luxury items that todays cars have standard. Eco cars 'look' small these days because they have to come that size (and weight) to get the needed mpg results.

looks about right to me

BMW seems to have painted themselves into a corner with this one... What are they going to call the new smaller car, the 0-series?

I had read some rumors (in EU mags) that they will reborn the ISETTA name.....

BTW, this mazda, the new toyota , the rumored Germans are made for JUST ONE PURPOSE:

CUT Co2 EMISSIONS AVERAGE OF THEIR CARS LINEUP

CyberPitz 04-28-2009 02:17 PM

I kinda like it....Granted, that's the biggest damn smile I've ever seen a car have.
