17 Year Old and 40 year olds car.

Well I'm coming up to the time of getting my drivers license and thinking about a few cars after driving a junker for a few months. I looked at the 8 and the mustang for a while and after asking how much insurance is for me, I thought about passing up those for at least a lil bit more. I had no idea what I really woudl be cool to have and at least functional. And bam it hits me, the 300c. Ill definitley be the only 17 y/o at least around here wiht it, and I can realize the fact your car doesnt need to be fast to be 'hot'. Yea thats right straight up pimpin. Well anyways, i was thinking what do you guys think the insurance rates will be on it for me. Im looking at tourning and if the rates are low enough maybe even the c ::drool:: hemi ::drooool::. Thanks

Naw, what you need is something like this. :)

Why do you want to drive a car that your old man probably doesn't even lust after?

I suppose if you're gonna turn it "Ghetto-fabulous", it should look okay, but at the end of the day, it doesn't really suit a 17yo.

I would think that the 8 would have cheaper insurance than the 300c. They are both considered 4 doors only the 8 has a lot less power. Maybe not though.

300c's are pretty nice, I test drove one, it drove more like a european car than american. Quality was pretty good and the power was nice to have. If I were to get one I would wait for the SRT version, rumore has it pushin over 400 hp.

I don't know that I would enjoy driving the touring model. The appeal of that car is definetly its power, take that away and other than its massive proportions it is a rather mediocre sedan. I might look into a two legacy GT if I were you. Insurance shouldn't be as high as a WRX, but still pretty fun to drive.

Old men and probably bball players that can't own a bentley. I saw one the other day with nice big 19 chrome rims on it and it looked much better than the stock ones; both kinds of stock rims dont look right to me.

Gotta love how the 300C has 340HP(with the V8 yet is about the same acceleration wise as an RX-8 :D

.... I don't know....Kind of looks like a grandpa ride...
.... Get an 8!

jonnyb 11-10-2004 07:13 PM

if you get a 300c make sure to get the one with a hemi in it.

personally, if i was gonna get a cruiser like that i would get a marauder no question. those cars are too badass.

If you must persist with a 300C, at least make it look like this:

BWhahahahahaha pwned

Yeah--300C with 20s is the way to go if you must. I like them but I probably wouldn't have one at 17--its an older car. Also the SRT8 will have 425HP--and there will also be an SRT8 version of the Grand Cherokee with 425HP.

Boozehound 11-11-2004 01:30 PM

Whatever - the 300C would be a sweet ride. Tint it dark, go for a nice stereo, and you're set. It's all about what you like, not what other schnooks think.

The 300 is ready-- mesh grill + 20s and bang in the trunk oh yes.

Yeah, I think Chrysler is stupid for not offering a factory 20" wheel option on that car.... missed chance for easy $$$.

jonnyb 11-11-2004 09:49 PM

not necessarily. i would think that most people who would want 20's on it would get nice aftermarket ones as opposed to factory brand.
