Opinions for a spoiler or something?
Opinions for a spoiler or something?
I was on my way to the school driving club meeting when I was in a little fender bender. Could have been worse considering it was an 18 wheeler with 37k pounds of frozen chicken lol. I'm going to get it debadged, but I don't know what to do with the spoiler situation. Let me know some opinions please. I'm kinda partial to lip spoilers but who knows. Sky is the limit. I appreciate all opinions, even stupid ones so fire away.
I'm quite partial to the Seibon AE wing... but it might be a bit large if you like lip spoilers. I have pictures here: https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?p=2623674
im sorry to see this happen to your 8 man, i would of been pissed... and as for a new spoiler i was looking at that EVO one or w.e its called, it looks clean espcially if your lowered

If your getting it debadged you could get the third brake light shaved at the same time and get the GTO wing, like I did...
Ohh yeah and the GTO wing you can get off ebay for around $50, with about $30 shipping

Yes, I got the Spalding Auto GTO wing on ebay for $49 + $50 shipping. I haven't put it on yet. It's been sitting in the garage for over a year.
forget the recommendations above and get a late model GTO spoiler, I get plenty of thumbs up on this one of all sorts of car drivers....you will not be disappointed, unless your not a spoiler freak and not up for the challenge,eh .....Later my friend.....

here are the new holes. they look skewed due to the flash of the camera but they are spot on...
the two small lumps in the recess is where I had to weld the oem holes shut.
On the surface of the trunk you can tever tell there were once holes there...

your car is pretty sexy p-munkey I think its a great wing but some may think its too'track' looking,,, Im looking to finish off my CF Burnout kt(I have the chin spoiler) Ive been thinking about Shine because lack of funds lately,,, is yours Shine or authentic Burnout??? and if Shine how was the fit
Yup, that's my car.
I BOUGHT an original Burnout kit, which Shine helped to arrange the shipping from Japan, then we replicated it. If anything the fit of the Shine kit is even better than the Original pieces because we adapted it so that you don't have to drill into the rails under the body like the orifinal required. We added tape edges to it to make it easier to attach also. The flanges on the front lip are wider at the edges so that it's easier to find meat to drill the screws into. The rears were also adapted into a "no-drill" mounting style.
I've had it on the track at Willow Springs at over 130 miles per hour and nothing fell off.
And yes, the wing is racy. What's wrong with "racy"? LOL
