wat range should i buy huh? u guys here using d 5miles or 8miles type? juz went shoppin at sim lim square & tower, check out most of d shop from simlim sq to twr, one shop at simlim tower #02-23 offering the best rates ! motorola 5miles range w/o charger at $50, 8mile range with charger at $100
price still nego.

I just collected a pair of 8mile mot talkabout w charger today at $90.

I wanted to buy a 8 or 10 miles range motorola walkie too.

But the seller told me that some of the latest model 8-10 miles walkie do not work with the older 5 miles walkie.
AS a results I bought the 5miles one. cos most of the drivers in Singapore uses the 5miles walkie.

Unless u used the pair of 8-10 miles with your friends or family or it would be of limited use.

I forgot what is the 8-10 miles model, but just take note and check.

If only we can get something like what the police use. Coverage: All over SG.

I believe that they are using a digital handset walkie not like our analogue ones.

If u wish to comunicate though out the whole island, it can also be done by buying the motorola moblie cum walkie set, but need to pay a mthly subscribsion fee.
Just like those used by the taxi drivers.

the local original is slightly more dear but comes with 24 months warranty.

Need to get one and this model is tops at work.
The VOX sensitivity is better than the rest.
Only thing, the design is not really that fantastic.

i got mine some 130 (1 pair).

The set I got is T5000.

Only one charger... but it can also use 3 x AA batteries instead.

I will check with my friend if he is interested to run a group buy here...

got my SX700 (with battery & 240v charger) over at Sim Lim Sq for $150. Is the shop in front of the escalator level 2.

SX700 @ $150, hmm... thsi price is super low.

have not really put it to use yet, still waiting for the upcoming malaysia trip... But as usual higher power is always good. 2 watts transmitting power.

is a export set without warranty. Think SX700 is not a locally approved model, hence the 2 chargers included is 110V. Do take note of that. Some how that shop is crazy or good enough to give me 2 220V chargers at no additional cost. :mdrmed:

I'm interested to get the FV500R (with the charging base).
