what to get for rear rotor?
thinking of changing rear rotor. what do you guys think of the following:
- Dixcel SD slotted $380 HS $540 (1-piece, heaviest) - Project Mu SCR-PRO $800? (2-piece, lighter, can match front) - Autoexe $??? (2-piece, lighter) was thinking rear not so critical so maybe can dun spend so much. probly Dixcel. Any other options? thanks! if anyone selling rear slotted rotors (for 6MT), let me know too. |

bro i would suggest autoexe or pmu, althought it might cost abit more, but it safe lives. if you've drop by to MG or even our outings you'll notice most of us use autoexe and pmu, its a jap car, go for jap brand. i dun really trust taiwan brands, learnt from a veri good experience after i had an accident. cheers :)

Chuan Lee Hin is the authorised dealer, Motorex is the supplier. Its a taiwan product but it has the same oem factory as greddy and friends?? Thats wat they claimed. I ordered front and back liao. Come end march it iwll arrive.
TEIN, GREDDY, ENDLESS are all MADE IN JAPAN. They have nvr becos of high production cost sub contract out to taiwan companies. This is a myth that all taiwan suppliers will tell distributors, becos they copied that very brand to make their products. Y i noe? becos i have been to the autoparts exhibition in taiwan. Everyone there will tell u the same thing. They are OEM for certain japan brands. Fantastic thing is, a few manufacturer will tell u they manufacture for the same japan brand, for eg, GREDDY. Many taiwan companies like to copy greddy parts. Even BRIDE oso claimed to be OEM when its blatantly copy wholesale. |

Well if taiwanese say they copy japan brands is still bearable, the only thing that really shook me up was when some member told me his brake manufacturer was oem for AP....
WOW.....that was hard to swallow I almost choked..... |

If MG comes with brake kits. I'll be the first to get one, even if I were to pay with 2 years instalment. If SG can hold the F1, I believe we are able to come up with decent brake kits. Lets have some Patriotisim in the house.

Lol Good Idea. But can anyone tell me what are the elements in a brake kit that sets different brands apart. Is it the material used? The way its structured? What is it?
