Do you guys watch these shows on the box? If so, which do you prefer and why?

Me personally, I prefer Fifth Gear -- a lot more informative and interesting subject matters -- whether from a safety perspective or their shoot-outs. Clarkson is starting to get, way too pompous for my liking. (Tghe Stephen Fry of the motoring world.)
Besides, you can see how he just dominates or lords over the two other guys in the TG team -- always making fun of the "little guy" (like he has not hear those little people jokes all his life!! -- this is coming from an ex-rugby prop, weighing 90kgs.) I can see or imagine why the previous TG team (other than Clarkson ie. Tiff, Vicky and the other guy all left wholesale.)

Morgan: Fifth Gear is on Discovery Real: Channel 72 in SG. On at 12.30pm; 5pm and 8.30 (i think) local time.

Im a bigger fan of Top Gear most likely due to the cast, but also because Top Gear test drives and rates cars whereas in the episodes of Fifth Gear i have seen they do different things such as safety comparisons and what not. In my opinion Jeremy is hilarious.

frankly, I think Fifth Gear has better overall content than Top Gear, but The Stig and Clarkson's personality makes Top Gear a more 'fun' show to watch...

Top Gear much more entertaining... plus, they gave a better review of the 8 .. but you gotta like brit humour.

Anyway, they all make fun of each other.. Did you see the episode where Clarkson had to eat his own hair?! He lost a bet with Hammond.. They even got a chef to come in and make a hair omelette.

Also, don't like VBH. She's too giggly, and can't drive RWD very well.

VBH may not drive RWDs well but who is looking at the curves on the road when she is trying so hard to have you see her headlights? She is not a looker but good sexy voice plus her set of headlights!

watch both, dont mind 5th gear.
the presenter, photograpgic/production shots from top gear is miles ahead of 5th gear.... even though 5th gear have improved in recent times

Top Gear is the one . Fifth Gear coming in a second only. Just look at the things fifth gear copied from top gear. First was a dedicated track like topgear than they had created a time board aka topgear's power board. And tiff cheat shot remarks are just lame sometimes.

TopGear is the more entertainting to watch. Fifth gear is more a top gear wanna be.
ps; :p love when they have topgear races ... The one with the bugatti and place was sweet

Both got their strong points.

Clarkson, he's a fantastic host. Funny. Entertaining. Thus TG seems to be more entertaining to watch. Uses different ways to test car, eg. racing a supercar with public transports.

Tiff, a ex-race car driver, on the otherhand, a little more serious. But dead serious about his reviews. One would take his comments about a review more seriously. Thus FG would be more informative.

For me, any car show I also like

I watch Top Gear for its entertainment value simply becos of Clarkson -- but who can occassionally appear to a bit pompous, in a public school boy sort of way.

Fifth Gear can deal with more serious issues like safety; or their latest analysis of disel vrs petrol ownership debate; plus the fact that Tiff and Jason Plato are ex or current racing drivers. It adds a bit of credibility to their testing.
