This is why you never take public transportation if you can help it! |

Nothing unique. Some of our uncles in SG are even worse.
|
HAHAHAHA Friggin Old man! Taught that kid a tough 6 min lesson, respect your elders, and mind your own damn business on the bus! ( Or else he was gonna F$%^ the kids mother!) lol

Did a review with my students... sypnosis of their understanding and rationalising: Classis case of senility vs seniority.
It seems to them as it goes to say that teenagers these era are getting worser by the day.. so much is the same for their parents or elders who assume that they know best and deem their behavioural stand as norm and acceptable. It is a reason to why the generation gap is widening at an exponential rate.. where more and more councillors and psychologists are much needed to bridge the mindsets at both the ends of the rainbow. It seems that the old man was very very eager to be the spected guy's new father. Thats taking it literally.. its a very very common phrase to swear in hongkong, vis a vis our version in Hokkien: KNLBCCB.. which is in translation even worse.. (knowing that the person's mother's vagina is smelly, still wants to make the effort to XX).. Bottom line: Dont take bus, ride in the Rx8... |
Hmmm ya'll could have mentioned something about the profanity.. luckily my co-workers are all American.
One of my uncles talks to his own parents that way.. makes no sense to me to tell your dad and mom to ...... :p |
The person who scolds another person's parents have serious paternal or maternal problems of his own.
If the person did not thought about it would he scold someone with it? |
not really, it's just a phrase that is WAY over used..
|
Maybe the uncle is suffering from the chinese version of Tourettes Syndrome? I had some businesss with a mayor of a southern chinese city years ago, he swored in cantonese with the best of them... in fact learnt a few new ones from him.
The Uncle, at any rate, appears to be to be quite a philospher... discussing the detailed nuances of the usage of the most famous of cantonese swear words. ;-) |
