can anyone advice me on the following spark plugs?
and where can i get them?

1. denso
2. autoexe
3. NGK

just called the spare parts dealer. S$180 for a set of the new version of stock plugs. NGK

its NGK RE7CL and NGK RE9BT. 2 each. supposed to be iridium plugs. Else you can try RX7 plugs which some say are fine as well. The only difference i could see is that thr RX7 plugs BUR-7EQP has a shorter reach of 19mm vs 21mm for the RE7CL. both the RE9BT and BUR-9EQP have the same dimensions. RX7 plugs are USD$7.60 each and available from www.sparkplugs.com. They are normal platinum plugs

Autoexe does not have spark plugs.

Most japs recommend only NGK. Denso is, sadly, not recommended.

Hold on a second, I thought spark plugs were $3-$10 each. Four spark plugs = $12-$40 for a set.

How did you end up paying $180?

huh??...wat kind of spark plug is that??.....i dont think thats for our 8....
in m'sia...it cost around rm350-380.....around USD100......ngk...same like original...
....and we only should change it once it reach 50k km....

You're not encourage to do that....... This a high rev performance car, not normal sedan....... You should change it more often.....

coz last time N1 did advice me to change it every 20k......
but C&C ask me to change it between 40k-50k km....

No No NO...... Cold plugs (rating 10 or 11) are not suitable....... You'll have trouble in idling and starting up engine......

try getting that for $12 or $40 per set. I will buy 100 sets from u!!! Is it so cheap in the states?

Rotary spark plugs are expensive and are recomended to change ard 30,000 to 35,000km. We do not have to change every servicing. Using back the original NGK plugs is the best.

and what if it's used? i juz changed mine to densol iridium...please tell me they're at least acceptable....i spend $260 on 4 of those!

ngk 7 and 9 rating is equvalent to ik wat hur?

The cheap plugs are normal ones. The ones we use are iridium ones.

How come denso not recommended? I always like denso and planning to use it next somemore.

there are no cheap plugs for rx8. only iridium type.

I wouldn't say its bad to use DEnso...i think its quite subjective...
I used to use denso and now i am using NGK....so far not much of a diff. ...of cos price play a big part...comparing $180 to $240....overall the function of the spark plug is basically to combust the A/F , hence i guess you can base on which spark plugs give you the highest firing power, which one will be more durable, price etc.....

wow bro, you pay only $240 for Denso Iridium huh?? that is really a gd price man i thought i have already got a good deal at $255.

BTW is there a diff between Denso Iridium(yellow packaging) and the Denso Racing Iridium (Bluish Packaging)??

Anyway IMHO, i have just change to Denso Racing Iridium, so far the only difference is abit smoother only lor but the price to pay is $255 :eyetwitch

i am not sure wats the diff btw the packaging ......
but if you want to improve your performance ...try using Spark amplifier like Ignite rev or HKS twin power.....on the other hand you can re tune your ignition timing or get a good spark plug wire (ie: 2 that i highly recommend , RE sprk plug cable and R magic. If you have the budget try Fujita ones ...not bad too)

I have the Fujita Engineering (rebadged NGK racing) spark plugs.

I have their spark plug cord too.

I have my review on those plug when the car is having hesitation on high revs (~9000rpm). It is solved and I found the plugs need to be cleaned if not changed.

hey sportsgirl, sorry for not replying. you can call fong yat at 62935722. blk 685 race course road.

sparksplugs.com guy told me the rx8 needs 2 RE8C-L and 2 RE9B-T spark plugs is this correct? can the RE8C-L be used instead of the RE7C-L.
Also do these help combat the cold start, moving the car two metres , turning the engine off and then be the victim of flooding that so many RX8 owners have experienced including myself last week!

I am Using hks plug is it good or bad..

It depends which HKS plugs you are running. Are you turbocharged?
