SG any1 use Zaino product b4?

just order Zaino product from the web...

Zaino Bros' Show Car Wash (concentrate) Z-7
Zaino Bros' Clear-View Glass Polish Z-12
Zaino Bros' Perfect Tire Gloss (rubber & trim) Protectant Z-16

any1 recommendation of the wax polish? Z-2 or Z-5? or others?

dunno which 1 to buy...

mysql101 11-02-2004 06:23 AM

if you bought z7, z12 and z16, you managed to buy all the extra stuff and not the stuff you need.

go to zainobros.com and look at the packages they have available. they have kits ready to buy that include everything you need

wootwoot 11-02-2004 06:42 AM

thanks... but i wash my car weekly & i thought Z-7 can be used to wash my car & i love to make my tires look wet & glossy... so i got myself the Z-16... so thinking of getting Z-2 n Z-5 but i've done some read up myself... i need to get Z-1 for the 1st time usage..

thanks JasonHamilton for the prompt reply

the zaino tire stuff make your tires look slightly moist, but it isn't going to give you a wet look, more of a matte finish. same goes for zaino leather conditioner.

Woot2...read through this thread here and also have a look through Manwe's ICE ICE Baby thread....lots of info, and some pix on Zaino after Manwe and me applied.

wootwoot 11-02-2004 08:23 AM

ok think it will help... going to take a look now

8citing 11-02-2004 11:07 AM

Contact Manwe and sgrenesis for the zaino advice. They've posted their finished product in ICE ICE baby thread. They're great and helpful people.

sgrenesis 11-02-2004 09:05 PM

Errr.... I think its Genesis..... me still waiting

wootwoot 11-02-2004 09:36 PM

zaino is god.

I nearly fainted when i did mine first coat.....fucking hand did not want to act like a buffing machine although i told him a few millions times. Cramped sia, after buffing off the first layer of Z1+Z5.

But, i must say i have never seen anything like dat.

Magnificent! Zaino Brudders Steady Pun Pi Pi! :D:D:D:D:D

Fab 8 11-08-2004 09:42 AM

Haha, yet another Zaino convert :D

Zaino is by far the best I have ever used. Haven't wax mine for more than 3 months, and even with this type of weather, water is still beading, and still looks like it has just been waxed after a quick wash :D

Genesis 11-08-2004 09:45 AM

Isn't it a pleasure pampering the 8! Take it to the streets, drive the snot outta it, then when you get home all you want to do is spend time getting it nice and shiney for the next ride out....wonderful, major grin factor :D

sgrenesis 11-08-2004 10:11 AM

actually does applying a coat of zaino mean it works like a sealant, only thing it last probably a week or 2 as compared to 'paint sealant' that keeps for bout 18 months?

sgrenesis 11-08-2004 10:18 AM

me have to start worrying, with constuction right in front of my place think have to clean then cover. dont know why never end.
dig then cover, dig then cover so many times and always the same spot already four times.

Manwe 11-08-2004 11:01 AM

zaino is known to last a few months...dun worry....paint sealant also will only last a few months.... you need 'touching up'

sgrenesis 11-08-2004 07:03 PM

Thanks. That means zaino is the way to go. keep me updated when you guys are going for cleaning session.

rockstar 11-08-2004 09:57 PM

Guys,

Contrary to normal beliefs, Zainos are actually polish rather than wax? The difference being polish actually takes away layer of laquer off your paint whereas wax put a "coat" over the laquer. So after I Zaino-ed her, do I wax it??

mysql101 11-08-2004 10:09 PM

zaino is a polymer that bonds to your paint. it doesn't eat your clearcoat or anything like that.

sgrenesis 11-08-2004 11:10 PM

will it change how the mica white looks?
as you can can the see the rest of the other colours are just straight up.

No mate, it will make your new white shine superb. Just follow the previous thread advice...Z7 wash the nite before, next morning clay everything, wash and dry, ZFX/Z2, Z6, ZFX/Z2, Z6, do your wheels, rims and if you're still not exhausted yet the interior with Leather in a Bottle is superb. Then take your mica out for a well deserved spin and show her off  Make sure u post some more pix tho ;)

Manwe bro...interested in the ZFX? Maybe we should have done that initially instead of Z1. I would be willing to pick up some ZFX over the long weekend ahead and try it...cost is on me, just bring some of your Z2 to mix. You can try my Leather in a Bottle also instead of the Meguires stuff on the interior.

Hey, sgren, if you pick up the Zaino products and want to apply your first full treatment with us, let me know.

Neon 11-09-2004 09:59 AM

rockstar, zaino has both polish n wax stuff. Z2,3 or 5 and later is Z1 or ZFX.

Go cazcomp n read up more...

I do ur car for 50$ leave it in me place when u sims here and collect after dat.

:D

rockstar 11-09-2004 08:03 PM

LOL wat kind of "special" u wanna him do? BJ? lol just kidding tho

Manwe 11-09-2004 11:23 PM

Neon,

I would gladly pay you $50 for a good job. I got breathless and totally shagged when I did the 2 coats with Genesis. Thank goodness I don't need claying anymore. A nightmare....

And do up your rims too. I read that if you do it on your rims, the brake dust will not stick. I did...though there are some sticking but it is visibly less. But then again...i was so shagged at the end when I did the rims, I did a extremely sloppy 1 coat(didn't dry properly, didn't wait for 30min etc).
