Sc is very good but a pain to install. I think turbo is easier to install and remove.

It should be the other way around......

CoupeM 01-03-2006 10:33 AM

SC is easier and cleaner to install but i think tc is easier to remove.

lennon 01-03-2006 10:40 AM

Supercharge doesnt require to take out the extractor ( the hardest part because it's very tight down there) and cut out some plastic guards for intercooler piping.... That's y turbo is a bit harder....

watoke 01-04-2006 07:21 PM

so what will be the damage like to our pocket for both SC and TC?
DO we have to change the ECU if were to install either one?

For TC, there wld be a piggybag ECU if u use the one from TRUST/RE AMEMIYA.

For SC, there are a few brands out there, the more prominent one being BLITZ SC. To bring out the full potential of most superchargers, of cos ECU tuning is essential.

May 2006 see many this kind of projects on our RX8s. THe tuscanis have outdone us when they showcased themselves with the psst psst sound....... C'mon, 4AT guys especially.......

CoupeM 01-04-2006 08:26 PM

the tuscanis may have psst psst but they are all not well tuned and most are having problems with their setup. nothing to worry about.....hahaha

the psst.. psst would typically be followed by piang! :naughty:

sgrenesis 01-05-2006 03:51 AM

I reckon they must be running on the infamous (anywhere can buy) TD04. They are taking and using parts that people are dumping aside. eeks.

KJ238 01-05-2006 06:40 AM

I cannot stress how important tuning is!

cuscorex 01-05-2006 06:58 AM

guyz, later the tuscanis' guyz read tis, another war wil start liao...well,'cheap gt cheap do,x gt x do lor',no offence huh :p:

sandman369 01-05-2006 07:53 PM

just want to clarify that I wasnt targeting at any particular group of cars but most TC-ing jobs done in sg were not complete or professionally done, and would typically lead to premature failure of engine or other parts, eg conrod, driveshaft, gearbox, etc... ;)

lennon 01-07-2006 02:19 PM

I heard that there are a few number of owner from Sing had done turbo to their car... A JB tuner told me this.. whether do these fella meet with the SG rx8club...

Turbocharging needs to upgrade a lots thing..... BOV, wastegate, boost controller , oil cooler, radiator, fuel pump, exhaust, strengthen chassis and etc.... lastly good tuning to be more complete.....
