hi

though i am not driving a rx8.. but i do like the car very much and has been reading up the forum.. and if u do search hard enuff.. i guess u find tat there is a pro rotary workshop in SG called monster garage..

Roulette 12-04-2006 06:57 AM

to answer ur question, yes, there are outside garages who can solve ur problems. the money u save from buying from a PI is worth the trouble. RX8 has some problems, but nothing so major that the rotary workshops outside can't solve.

Buy one bro!

Buy from GarageR

black78 12-04-2006 08:25 AM

thk garageR more ex as i can get $96888 fr autohub

nfs 12-04-2006 09:27 PM

buy from garage r. their service is really good. look for june. she is really nice and professional. and they do throw in add-ons if possible. ultimately, when u buy from PIs, trust and reliability is very impt. and her sis, Siew Lee knows the rotary engine pretty well too. so can actually send to them for repairs

Maybe wil get fr other PI cos cheaper...got problem than bring to garageR...stil considerin wether to get or nt or wait til after chinese new yr as coe price might drop...btw wats the diff between 07 n 06 model...only the 6speed n the 4speed?

sqflyer 12-05-2006 07:12 AM

COE price might drop, might go up... GST will definitely go up, only a matter of time. 6AT and 4AT has a different engine, not just a different transmission.

black78 12-05-2006 12:06 PM

oic so which got a higher HP 07 or 06

sqflyer 12-05-2006 11:54 PM

I dun know if there are '06 6ATs or '07 4ATs... so don't rely on the year of manufacture. Basically, just get the 6AT or 6MT if you are gonna get a new 8.

Btw i heard fr sm fr which said tat a rx8 with full tank ard $100 plus can only travel 300 plus km...is it true... :Eyecrazy:

allen 12-06-2006 04:57 AM

from this forum i guess u have the range from 320km to 420 average. some even hit 480km per tank but very rare.

As for full tank i dun think it will be $100 since it is only 55L tank and after discount should not be so much. maybe $80? anyone can confirm?

my8 12-06-2006 05:09 AM

its abt a hundred bucks full tank
but if FC is ur primary concern
u shouldnt even b looking at this car
cheers

Fuel tank is 61L but you are not going to run it completely dry before you fill up. If you fill it up then drive til "E", you can expect to fill about ~55L. How much it will cost to fill 55L depends on what brand and grade of petrol, where you fill up and what discounts you can get, so just work it out yourself.

KMs you can get out of each tank can range from under 300 to over 500 kms depending on the type of car, driving conditions, weight of your right foot, size of your ego and material of your family jewels.

sqflyer, u r heck of a funny! what about length of the family hose? doesn't that play a part?

sqflyer 12-07-2006 03:22 AM

If length of family hose made a difference, I'd no sooner have an implant... :mdrmed:
