RX8 Mega meetup: 3/12/06, Sunday 11am, Kallang Carpark
Dear all,
It has been a long time since we last had a Sunday morning meetup. Since its approaching the end of the yr, we will hold a meetup on 3 Dec, Sunday. There will be special activities and guest appearances as well. Hope all will turn up. Thanks.
Time: 11am
Venue: Kallang Carpark
Special guest appearance: Mr Isami Amemiya and RE-Amemiya tech team AND Japan RX7 Magazine reporters
We managed to get Rotary God himself, Mr Isami Amemiya to come down for this gathering. RX7 Magazine, the well known rotary magazine in Japan, is also coming down to shoot. This is the chance for us guys to be featured in the japan magazine!!!
Those who have been campaigning for a sunday meet, here we have it. Those who long long time nvr come, this is the time to come. Uncle Tan, pls come hor. Old birds, pls come down too. Those who havent get car one, also can come down.

hehe i will come but i will be damn shack. I am running the 10km ***** run in the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon. Even though i will finish by 830, i need a race queent o perk me up.
On another note, are you sure you guys can access Kallang carpark? The marathon has resulted in road closures on Mountbatten and Fort Road. There will be heavy traffic, not to mention A LOT of Traffic Police uncles around.
Ivan, do you want to relocate the meet to a less congested region? Perhaps the West Coast location?

no. Kallng carpark will not be blocked. Some roads leading to kallang maybe blocked in the morning. However shld clear up by then.
Most roads are not closed so dun worry, i have done my homework. David, ur photog will be coming to discuss the route for ur convoy. I need you to be there cos he said i'm leading the pack. Am i???? let the adrenalin charged guys malcolm, gabe, steph, derek, ah girl, all go 1st. I will stay behind. I still need to go back to my shop on that day therefore i cannot commit fully to the convoy. Hope u understand.

Wah, like that also adrenalin charged, then modded 8s can throw liaoz.....

THANK YOU everyone who turned up. Sorry for the cocked up abt the road closures.
I was expecting more people to turn up, but maybe due to poor weather and road closures.
Thanks "Mr M" for showing us how to drift on an auto RX8. I believe we all were treated to a "good" showing of drifting (or as flyer likes to put it - skidding)... haha.. anyway jokes aside, Thanks all for making this event a success. A bit disappointing to see many old timers absent. Uncle tan, ringer, tems900, cuscorex (missed ur yellow banana) and many many many others... I guess its due to the holiday season i hope...
anyway the next mega meetup may be to order polo tees... (i hope). hopefully turnout will be better.

Aiyo.. bored mah.. thought there were activities as stated in ur post but it turned out to be a game show called "Try figuring what the fark im telling you" (in sashimi accent).
Anyways, Auto8 has its limitations.. what more do u want to expect from it... Handbrake? ..Hahaha..
