rx-8 engine flooding problem

i was quite concerned when i read about the flooding problem of rx-8 renesis in the australian forum. any rx-8 in our region encounter such problems b4? it's related to shutting down the engine b4 warming up fully. once it's flooded, it wont start

i did start up then shut down in less than 5 mins. a couple of times, luckily nothing happened. However, i won't take a chance next time!

Dont think it is applicable to the later models

Most mentioned/posted cases involve early 2004 or late 03 models

dj... dun worry, nothing will happen. xx88xx, as long as you do not step on the gas when you start the car, it should not flood the engine.

It happens several times to me in winter time in Aus. I do believe weather plays a part in flooding. If you encountered this situation, wait for few minutes before you start up your again.

Sometimes start the engine, then decided that i forgot some stuff, so i off it and go back to house. Auto response(flooding is always not on my mind) and each time i worried that i couldn't restart the engine. But after more than 10 times, nothing ever happen(touch wood and I do still worry). I guess just don't do it deliberately. And if it happens, don't sweat. Chances are nothing would happen.
