Requiem for a Dream: RX8 Wedding Convoy II (Route Uploaded)
 

Dear RX-8 drivers,

On 9th December 2006 (Sat), my licence to be a bachelor will be revoked until further notice.

To make the wedding super cool, fun and exciting, I would like to request for a wedding convoy of the RX-8s to be the escorting guard of honour for the day. (Stephy88 must wear SAF No. 1…hehehehe).

I will be driving my 8 to bring my lao po to church and it would be wonderful if its fellow brothers and sisters would come along with it on its (and my) Special Day Out. Let’s make jaws drop once more at the sight of 8s in singapore! :ylsuper: I hope I will be fortunate enough to have the support of the RX-8 fraternity in Singapore on the big day.

The preliminary plan is for the convoy will move out at around 2.00 p.m. or 1400hrs from my lao po’s house in Kampong Arang to a church at Kings Road, Bukit Timah, where the wedding service will take place. The start point is actually just outside the Performance Motor’s showroom (which is so near Kallang that its like another meetup), but taking advantage of the sheltered MSCP is better. The end point is the open air car park at the church, which has enough lots to fit all the RX-8s I can bring. To make things less of a hassle to everybody…you may choose to end your journey at the church and enjoy the rest of the Saturday or stick around, have a bite and a drink and do doughnuts and burnouts in the parking lot until the priest complains. =p The convoy will end at the church, because I’m not gonna make any one sit through a wedding Mass just to have a convoy driving round to my place where I’ll get changed for the dinner at 7+. That’s just cruel and unusual. :ar:

Petrol expenses (and ERP, depending on the route) will be compensated via a humble hongbao.

My lao po and I hope for a wee bit of your valuable time and support. That’s all for now…further details on schedule, routes and location will be provided, depending on the response…

All colours of RX8 are welcome, red or yellow, black or white, modded or vanilla… …the more the merrier …and a certain noisy Mattel car (cos the lao po thinks its v cool)!

Heh look at it this way, it’s an organized daytime rounding activity …..

Yay! The laogong has asked for the convoy - thank you for the support so far :)

The church is St Ignatius - 120 King's Rd. Don't worry - no parking problem if everyone goes to the car park behind the church - I think it's Victoria Park Road. What you may have seen in the past is the huge traffic jam right in front of the church on a Sunday.
