MEGA Meet - RX8 Singapore - 30th March 2008
 

G'day Everyone!

Thank you very much for your interest in engaging/re-engaging with the local RX8 community! :)

As promised, I have arranged for a MEGA gathering to bring us together (both old & new birds) this quarter. Here are the details:

Date: 30th March 2008 (Sunday)
Time: Starting at 3pm
Location: Marina South - car park location will be updated by next week

Activities:
1) Meet & greet - Get to know more folks on a personal level in the local RX8 community!
2) Drool over mods on other rides - Get ideas for your next mod or simply enjoy the MEGA visual display!
3) Photo-taking Session - Group photo for our event feature in HOTstuff Magazine (http://www.hotstuffmag.net)!
4) Mega Rounding - Drive in convoy together downtown and make heads turn!
5) Dinner - Optional activity for those who still want to chill out together later into the night.

Few things to note:
> All Singapore RX8 owners and their family/friends are welcomed. This is a social event and we are friendly, so please do not shy away even if your ride has little or no mods (we'll poison you when you get here).
> Bring any questions you have about after-market mods, maintenance and any rotary related questions along! There'll be many experienced owners there to help you understand your car better.
> Wash & shine your ride before the meet if you like, as we'll be taking group photos and our event will be featured in HOTstuff magazine.
> I will be arranging for optional individual car photo shoots (FOC of course) to submit to HOTstuff & other local car magazines, to see if they are interested to do a follow-up individual feature of your car (this is not a professional shoot, its going to be just me giving my best effort to help you get your car featured).
> Please come on time as I will start coordinating for the group photo shoot as people start arriving, so we can catch the best lighting. You might miss the group shot if you arrive late.

Please let me know if you will be joining us for this MEGA meet. I will also be following up with you personally in the coming weeks to confirm if you will be intending to continue for dinner together (so I can make dinner arrangements).

Btw, I am deleting my other thread that has everyone's contact details (so it does not float around in here forever and you get prank calls next time). If you have not already posted/given me your contact details, you can leave it in this thread (please include your name, number & email). :)

Juz to inform in case u're nt aware that Marina South has become a 'Dead' town hor!

No more amenities there as NEA re-constructing the place with World's Largest Consevartories. But carpark shd still be around.

Got it bro! Thanks for the heads up! I am aware about it :) We're not eating there.. just need the open space for gathering & photo shoot (and avoid fighting for space with others). I'll be heading down this weekend to check it out and make sure the location is perfect for us.. just to be sure :)
