Wat can u recommend bro? :P Check out the Suspension forum. There are quite a few thread discussing just on springs. Tein seems to be fairly popular. (which i think easily obtainable in singapore) the other one is Racing Beat. |

Frankly, me think not worth it by just doing the springs. Why dont you get a set of sways too. That plus the spring will improve the handling quite a bit! With about $200 for labour you can both spring and sways installed. |
Another thing you gotta be careful about in changing only the springs is it may not match your dampers and eventually cause them to become defective in time to come. If you intend to change your entire suspension with coilovers in future, then this may not be a problem. IMHO, best is still to stick with stock, save the money and put them towards a proper set of coilovers in future. My 2c.

not sure how much R&D one can do to retain the matching. dampers are designed for certain travel and stiffness. by replacing the springs of a shorter travel and increased stiffness, defintely there would be some mismatch, unless the change in stiffness is not far off. R&D if any, would be focused on the fitting (so that there is no wierd sound and have a good fit to serve its purpose), and on matching, i beileved that the design assumption would be that stock dampers would be replaced (possibly by another damper designed together to match the lowered springs), and not so much on matching the stock damper (which the design space is limited and would not make sense). in my view, it's purely aesthetic to lower car without changing damper. generally, handling will be poorer given this mismatch. |
Thanxs for all the feedback bro...
I'm a pretty aesthetic person, I dun drive my car too hard, till now, the fastest I went was 130kmH. and dat's like only once! Question, would changing an entire set of coilovers affect the ride comfort alot... my preference for springs is that I already find the car a little bumpy, especially going over strips... thats the problem when u come from driving a Rav-4... :D Anyway, if the ride comfort isn't badly affected, I dun mind a coilover set... I just wan the car to be lower by another 1 or 1.5 inch as I tink it would look great! :P Thanxs!! Any feedback is greatly appreciated! :P |

the 20 inch rims will not loose much of the comfort anyway! Vanguish, if u change your springs, it might! but really depends on wat springs u have. |
i always tot the aftermarket springs r catered for the 6MT sports suspension
do they work for the 4AT suspensions? |
