Info on COE,OMV, PARF and de-registering a car in Singapore
I'm new here, and I'm from mauritius.
I'll like to import an RX8 from singapore, but after a lot of search I've still not understood all the tax you guys pay over there! :) IF anyone over here can help me with the following, it will be much appreciated. 1. If I buy the car direct from the owner, how do I calcuslate the rebate, etc he will be getting and know the real price I need to pay. (I understand that he will get a percentage of the OMV and COE back. Am I correct?) Thx |
No one???

Sorry dude, no idea...I think most of us only worry about importing cars INTO singapore...
Why not import directly from Japan? That's what we do here all the time anyway. Maybe some ppl here can even advise you how to do it. |

Thanks for the answers guys.
Rumboo: Its cheaper to import from Singapore than from Japan. mkl22: Thanks. I've already checked www.onemotoring.com.sg, very informative. I've seen some Rx8 for sale on www.sgcarmart.com, but none of the seller replied to my mail.. :S Anyways, if you guys know someone with an early 2004 RX8 for sale, ask them to contact me !! :) |
ohhh, didn't know that.
Good luck with your search! |
