Deciding on RX8
Hey guys,
i'm driving a MZ3 now.. juz wanna find out if the $89k for a PI rx8 has got any hidden terms and conditions? i read in this forum abt the pros and cons of PI and MM.. so... $89k seems to be a good deal.. but i juz get this feeling its too good to be true.. well yea.. any views? thanks a million!

niki.....price dropped quite a bit lately...sometimes when things are too good to be true...its true.....its true.
maybe you can also read more of the threads regarding this issue. Honestly, it has been discussed many times are someguy_sg is also right in asking you to search for it.

oh MZ3 is a mazda3 ..haha.. i did not know that :P I thought is was a model/chassis code.

remember Mr Brown's car from "zheng my ride" hotness ..hehe..
There is a 323 near my place.... the guy has a full white bodykit, debaged and quad exhausts. Thats right , you heard me . Quad exhausts.It does have a nice look to it but the rear lights gave it away to what car it was

i searched already.. yup..it pops up every now and then in the forum. actually, what i needed to know was the $89k deal. i think this is a 'new'price ... guess so lah.. the discusssions were based on the $100+k price earlier.. tats y i asked again.. sorry yah?

someguy: pls do not frighten away new bro/sis. Maybe its in jest but leave the f-word out when it concerns personal stuff.
Seeing the low prices mazda motors are offering for the 6sp MT, it can be worth considering unless you really want a more basic AT 8.
I think the bottom line is to read the sales contract carefully and use common sense.

Hi niki,
One of the PI listed their price as 91K plus. And that is inclusive of a 3.5k rebate from the bank if you take maximum loan. That rebate will have to pay back in full to the bank if you were to discontinue the loan within first five years. On top of that, if you took any thing less than 90%-7years loan, you will have to topup with some administrative charges. That admin charges goes up to 3.1K, if you pay by cash. (ie no loan).
Basic car, no CD player, japaness domestic radio converted which will display FM86.7 if you tune to FM98.7. Free reverse sensor, free 2-tone leather seat...etc. Check with that PI that quote 89k. You might have to pay extra for reverse sensor and leather seat.
Call them up and ask for the terms and conditions. Do keep our brothers and sister in this forum posted. Cheers

The price of S$89,988 would have taken into account the loan rebate if you take a typical loan package of 90% financing over at least a 7 year term, like what slimer has said. If not, you would have to add on to that price the admin charges. However, the price might also have taken into account cash discounts, if any, from the PI. The price is also probably for a basic model and you would have to negotiate for leather seats, back sensors, solar film, CD/mp3 or 6-cd changer etc. Most PIs, I think would ask you to pay a little extra for these, which they are able to get for you at a discounted price. AS for the OMV, for that price I think it would be in the region of $30K to $33K but you would have to check with the PI. Hope that helps.

some of the comments may be made in jest but some newbies may not know our "culture" yet... like i can always talk **** and suan flyer, kenny, lsblack, lohsk, low_rider, sgrenesis, cuscorex on the forum and we can still be laughing and making merry when we meet.... Wat i'm trying to put across is, u wan to make fun of anyone, do it within certain limits. Frenly discussions are always welcomed and encouraged.
