Seems abit overpriced for a BIG PROMOTION. Why not give Lim tan motors a call? They will also do alignment and installation for you. There's also 2 options with the pillowball mounts so do take note.

I've always wondered about pillowball mounts. Why do they squeek so much? Has anyone got aftermarket coilovers with/without pillowball mounts that DO NOT squeek?? I think it's damn frustrating (and embarrassing) to drive/sit in a nice car that squeeks.

Review from a non-technical person

The Zero2 comes with 5 damper settings, 1 softest to 5 hardest. Spring rate of 8f/5r. The E-con is a similar device to Tein's EDFC. That I found is a really useful little device for lazy people like me. I added a "pyroball" mount although I don't really know how much more effective it is from the normal pillowball mount but hey, the same reason why you upsize at Mcdonald's, it's not much more from what you've already paid and you don't wanna regret later when it's not enough.

Damper setting to 1 and took a trip to Great World City. It was definitely stiffer then stock but still comfortable enough. Results: No bitching from my wife. Therefore PASS.

Damper setting to 4 and the trip back home
Results: My ass hurt and my ears hurt, but damn does that thing just eat up the corners. + the e-con does work.

After driving around abit, I've finally settled for damper setting 1 front n rear when the wife is in the car and 3 for the rear and 2 for the front when I'm driving alone( therefore the usefulness of the E-con).

Alot of people in the forum rated sway bars as the best handling mod but I have to disagree on this one because this clearly is a winner. Handling has truly improved significantly and i'm one happy driver :mdrmed:

Finally if you've been patient enough to read through my rubbish, the damage,
It's in the region of SGD$3k. <----to make myself clear SINGAPORE DOLLARS. :dunce:

Hi there SIesta ...can I check with you how much lower can your car down especially at the rear wheels? The max I was told I could get it down was to slightly less than 2 fingers gap ... but I wanted it to be only 1 finger gap .... the front don't seem to have any prob getting it really low ... but the rear .. hmmm ..... please advise.....

Zero 2R do not have the fitting for RX8.... only for RX7 ..... coz if you do not have a major horsepower upgrade for your RX8 .... zero 2 E will be more than enuff.... in fact with the setting I am running ...(spring rate 10/7) the car is already very stiff.....

I am very sure zero 2 r do not make it for rx8 ..... not a month ago... anyway 2R is inverted setting ... therefore every time you need to have a diff setting you need to bring it to the work shop to get the setting done ... or else 2e is all done in the cabin with the e-con.

Most coilover will have a firmer ride ... I believe thats the reason why ppl go for them coz their primary purpose is to reduce body roll ..... and it all depends how much are you willing to compromise between perf and comfort. If you just intend to drive in town ... then I dun think you should go all the way for coilover.... just get a stiffer aftermarket sway bar does the job wonderfully - also bear in mind with just the sway bar .... you too can have light track day fun afterall I have been running my car stock (with just the whiteline sway bar) in track for two years before installing the cusco zero 2e.

If you still wanna go for coilover ... but dun want to compromise too much on comfort ... then go for the defaulted setting of 8/5 spring rate for the rx8.....should be quite ok with the ride with the damping set to city driving ..... hope it helps.. cheers

I see...thanks alot for the info...coz I am seriously consider get an aftermarket
set of coilover...the stock setup doesn't seem to do the trick for me...I will take
into consideration the anti sway bars as well...bro, thank u...u've really been a
great help... :)

I called, there is no 2R for the RX-8.

Question: Have you taken the car to the track with the 2Es? Any thoughts? Also do you or anyone know of an 8 w/the 8/5 springs and have a feel for the handling/ride difference?

Hi,
Thanks for the info on Zero2E... : )

I installed Cusco Zero2E with E-Con on my Legacy GT (sorry not RX-8) and the result is great and worth every cent.

After playing around with the settings, I find that Front 3, Rear 1 gives me the best comfort drive on my car. Not sure if this is applicable for RX-8 config but just thought of sharing as there isn't much info on E-Con setting around on the web.
