Clicking sound on Greddy suspension??
 

Hi Guys, I always hear clicking sound on my suspension, i suppose? Is it normal? And when i tap my brake gently, some times also got clicking sound or tapping sound. And its on off? How??

Brakes make a rhythmic scraping noise at low speeds:
As you step on the brake pedal to stop while moving at low speeds, you notice a rhythmic scraping noise. As the car slows, the frequency of the noise also slows. The noise doesn't seem to be there when braking from high speeds. Sometimes the noise is more noticeable than at other times. The problem usually occurs suddenly.

Possible causes:

1. Your brake rotor is badly warped: Machine or replace brake rotors.
2. Your front wheel bearings are badly out of adjustment: Adjust or replace wheel bearings as required.

Also, the bearings rarely go bad on our cars so it's more than likely the rotors making the clicking noise. Replace your rotors first (considering how you already bought rotors) and see if you still get the clicking noise, if you do then it'll be the bearings. :)

ur rotors are slotted... sure got tapping sound....

They say its the line on the rotor brake making the sound?

What rotors are you using? Stock or aftermarket? If it's aftermarket and it's slotted then it can also be due to the slots and/or uneven wear.

Project mu. Anyway, my next question is going to be tough to understand:) I notice that the lines on my left and right side are not coherent??
Should they be coherent??

Okay bro . Sorry Im a layman on technical issues, just to ocnfirm slotted means got lines on the rotor right. If thats true, mine is slotted. :)

They don't have to be coherent and yes, slotted means they have lines embedded into the rotors so that it can cool down faster. :)

Sometimes, not all the time, slotted rotors will make a clicking sound.

Also, are your rotors facing the right way? Sometimes people install them backwards and that causes alot of ticking noises. Can you take a picture and post it here?

That's how it should look like with the car facing to the right. :)

It depends, it doesn't mean that it's installed correctly when the green is facing out. You might have the passenger rotor on the driver side of the car accidentally and vice versa. I hope this helps. :)

It is not rare to have aftermarket brake systems clicking. Your Greddy suspension is 100% fine, nothing is wrong with it. The sound is coming from your brakes. :)

I also had this problem on my RX-7 a long time ago but it went away after I put about 500 miles on the rotors.
