Heres a pic i took when i first got the intake.

CaNNaVaR0 04-13-2005 10:24 AM

what are the dyno results?

more torque?

i'm guessing that u not be getting as much torque as you should get with this big an intake.

errant 04-13-2005 10:26 AM

quite a number of bros who go to GR have the hks racing suction..but just something to be mindful about- low end does suffer a little bit with aftermarket CAIs. At least that's what i felt thru butt dyno..

Genesis 04-13-2005 10:28 AM

Nice XDEED! But cannavaro beat me to it...what's the results?

UG_8 04-13-2005 10:33 AM

The HKS Racing suction....I have it, drivability is ok...but low end torque does suffer a bit..need to build up the rev to gain speed and have fun. Gear selection is also crucial after installing the kit. The exhaust note also becomes louder...I am on Mazdaspeed exhaust only.

Here is a dyno sheet of my friends car. The dyno was ran with the hks legamax exhaust....

CaNNaVaR0 04-13-2005 11:24 AM

try a racing beat drop in filter...or the new blitz SONIC POWER AIR FILTER with low air flow setting
ya should see improvements in torque
the torque increments on the dyno sheet are nt very significant.
just my 2 cents worth

well none of the intakes out there are going to give you a huge gain. It all comes down to preference. And this is the route i chose to go.

im really looking forward to some forced induction. Maybe in a year or so, or maybe if someone can perfect porting on the renesis and ecu tuning i'd probably stay naturally aspirated. =)
