Another 8 rolls in
Greetings everyone,
After a long wait, the car is finally in my hands. It's really sexy and sporty. No regrets on the choice of car. But this car has really lots of blind spots, its so hard for me to turn my head and check for oncomin cars coz the back window is so puny; and the mirror at the back is so small and dark just like driving a car in shades. 1 more thing, is the original rear mirror mounted on the windscreen itself or its onto the ceiling of the car? Mine's on the windscreen and it totally blocked off most of my vision of the left side. Besides that, all is cool. the running in is a torture. Travelled 80km from jurong to changi and back to balestier again. And black is a tough color to maintain man, 1 night of rain and all the stains are stuck on the car. 1 advice, dont place ur reverse camera on top of ur number plate, it sucks man, most of the time, i dont even know what im looking at. Changing rims today and setting up the lcd screen soon too. Whoever is still thinking, just do it. " Buy first think later" made famous by Coupe07 But still no regrets. Cheers |
Congrats, Enjoy.

Cool... Enjoy your ride... ;-)

I'm going for first servicing tmrw, 1k km... I don't have much problems with blind spots after using the site DarkBrew mentioned above, and learnt to use my wing mirrors more.. But having said that, the very first time I drove an 8 4 years ago, I was also unprepared for the width of the C pillar. |
congrats on ur new ride...
Dun worry...u'll eventually get used to the blind spots... :) |

The carrier that my Type S is on caught fire and got detained at a port near Tokyo. What luck? :banghead: Still remember you talking about that "Gold" carrier of yours sinking... Haha, After my Type S is here, we could go for a gathering together... |

Congratsz ... enjoy ur car

congratz and post some pix for us. :)
|
you can always move your reverse camera to the keyhole in the boot
check the DIY thread |
I try and make sure that the front passenger seat is covers half or less of the rear left passenger side window.
The trick for me is to lean slightly forward to look back which will allow (me at least) vision of our blind spots. I'm sure that you will find your own way of checking blind spots but just drive carefully for the first few weeks lor. Enjoy! |
tks for all the kind replies. Greatly appreciated. No need for pics la, totally stock now. No bling bling also.
