I'll be getting my new 8 (AT) in about 2 weeks time and its the slowest 2 weeks of my life....anyway there are a few things which I wish to do to the car and wud appreciate your advise on where to get them done in singapore besides at mazda

1) Front and Back rotary crest
2) Fender strakes
3) Fuel filler door
4) Spoiler (the type with the thin strip across the trunk lid)
5) Original Body Kit

And also would want to connect my ipod to the stock HU and wondering if any of you guys have done it before without using the FM transmitter.

I came across this website www.maxxcount.de which has this device called the Icelink, wondering if any of you guys have tried it out.

Appreciate it!

Congrats on getting the greatest car and making the best choice. Just side track for a while to give u a quick breifing before answering your queries.
We usually meet up at least once every week and you can get updates from either here in the forum OR if you want very updated news then it would be advisable to leave your details with coupe07, he is the PR and the POISON man, together with his side kick lsblack.

You have to inform coupe if you want to added to his mailing list for meetup and also TURN UP. This I couldnt stress more but if not then its ok to just chit chat with him cause he very chin chai one.
Lsblack, this one have to be more careful, really "tok". Poison you then do his move "fade to black" then dissappear.

err.... ok down to serious stuff.

Note: mazda will not entertain PI cars even if it is just buying accessories.

1) can try to get from member zavhan
2) same as above
3) dont understand
4) thats the boot spoiler and it comes stock when you buy from agent, try asking or posting to see if anyone is selling, cheaper option.
5) original as in mazda elegance version or do you mean other makes.

As for the ipod, some of the members have done it already and there are different methods so feel free to check with them when you attend the next meet. cheers!

3) Aluminium fuel lid - you can buy from some of the PIs. Like sgren said, MM will not sell any parts if you did not buy you car from them.
5) Original - meaning original Mazda? or original aftermarket bodykits? Mazda has the "aero" kit (around $1.4k+) or the MazdaSpeed kit (around $7K). Aftermarket bodykits cost around $3k+.
iPod connection - IceLink PLUS is similar to Neo iOn SP. Don't think anyone has it at the moment. I connect my iPod directly to my pre-amp. FM Transmitters don't cut the mustard after a while.

Hi,

Welcome to the club! Item no.4 is not called a spoiler. I think the guys call it a boot lip... sure you dun wanna get the MazdaSpeed spoiler?

Thanks all you guys for the warm response.....really appreciate it. Actually I prefer a more subtle look hence the boot lip seems ok to me. Thinking of the mazda original body kit.

As for the Icelink plus, I'm currently contacting some dealers in the states to see if hey ship to sg, will keep all updated....like sgflyer, the FM trans just don't do it for me...
Anyway thanks for all the advice and prep on the "poison" administration :) really looking fwd to meet up with you guys...

Anyway if anyone has a bootlip for sale...pls let me know....cheers!

SQ: where did u place ur pre-amp? any pics on how your ipod is connected?

sqflyer 10-20-2005 10:39 AM

My pre-amp is under the front passenger seat with the audio cable run under the carpet and into the center console. I don't have any pics, but it's a relatively simple install. PM me your email if you need pics.
