6speed & 5speed

Hi guys,

I was suppose to be a proud owner of a rx8. but due to my PI ~!@#$% last min tell me that Mazda recalling back all the car.

First when i wanted to get a 5speed manual, the PI told me 5speed manual no mroe in production as told me that they only bring in 6speed manual rx8.

Now few days before getting the car they told me Mazda recalling back all the 6speed manual rx8 and ask me that i will get the 5speed manual rx8 in 8-12weeks.

you guys out there have any idea how to check if Mazda really recalling back the 6speed manual car? and also wats the diff between the 5speed and 6speed?

Pls advise

You signed paper for a 6 speed right? Stick to your rights. Settle for nothing else. Recall doesn't mean all will be affected. Think your pi is pulling a fast one on you.

xacidx 09-26-2006 09:52 AM

but then now the fella say sg wont bring in anymore 6speed manual. tell me i have to take the 5speed manual. if i dun wan then i take back the deposit. if i take 5speed car will come in 8-12weeks. now i also dunno how.. any idea if i can sue him for damages/? then also now i 2mths noc ar to drive ibecause of them playing punk

If you are getting the 6 speed manual, might as well get from MM rather than PI. Longer warranty and pretty well equiped.

Rei 09-26-2006 10:46 AM

If u really want the 6 spd mt, then i think u better take back ur deposit...the
engine between the 2 are different...i think its ur PI thats not bringing the
6 spd mt...not spore?U can check wif mazda motors or some other PI if u want
the 6 spd mt version...Alternatively, if u decide to take up his offer, u might wanna
strike a better deal wif ur PI instead?

care to share the PI's name so that others do not fall into their trap? How much did they quote you for a 5 MT quite interested in one too. PM me?

EBS 09-26-2006 11:27 AM

Hi

No such thing as 6 speed recall, so take 5 speed. In fact, u are glad they offered u full refund. My advise is to take it. It showed how 'well' the PI is conducting their business and my advise is not to go to them.

6 speed and 5 speed a lot of diff in performance. Do a check and u will know. Whether u want 6 speed or 5 speed is up to u, NOT the PI! MM brings in 6 speed manual only and there is no recall whatsoever at the moment with MM car. Also didnt hear anything from PI Japan car.

If MM is too expensive, go check sgsingmart. U will find some used MM 6 speed car there with good price and low mileage. Can consider if u are not too picky and warranty from MM will give u peace of mind.

If u still want to go PI isntead of MM (becos of price), look for another one. This PI cannot be trusted so get off be4 u sink too deep .......

morganoh 09-26-2006 11:55 AM

Take the refund, from the looks of it the PI is not being honest, and there will be more trouble in the future.

yr PI is bringing u for a merry go round.

if i were u, take back yr money and go to another PI.
there are 1001 PIs out there, much more servcie oriented and hungry for business.

if u stick wif this PI,
think of the level of service u will get when u sign the dotted line.

I was suppose to get teh 6speed for 95k then now he fella tells me tt i can only get the 5speed and he is selling it to me at 94.5k. any idea if i can take legal action against him?

xacidx 09-26-2006 06:53 PM

i bought it at worldmotors enterprise. mattaer of fact. me and 2 other frens bought the car from the same PI. now 3 of us got affected. ~!@#$%^

nex100 09-26-2006 07:41 PM

wah 6 speed for 95k and now he want to sell you 5 speed for 94.5??? 6 port engine and 4 port engine so little difference in price? Come on I think he wants to make huge profits by pushing you the 5 MT. Think of a BMW 4 cylinder engine vs a 6 cylinder engine, you think the price difference is only 500 bucks? INSIST ON THE 6 MT FOR 95k man!!! dun get conned.

Second morgan's advice, grab the refund and look for MM or a reliable PI for the 6speed RX8. Good luck and cheers ! :) uncle tan

darkelfin 09-26-2006 09:38 PM

save the trouble, get back the refund. like the rest say, this might just be the start of your problems. and dun let them push u into taking the 5speed. difference can no way be only 500bucks. they pulling a fast one on you.

I think they want you to take back the deposit. 95k for 6MT is definitely a mis-quote. Instead of telling you that they mis-quote you, they play punk and hope you will just accept the refund and walk away.

5MT or 6MT

Hi, I understand how u feel. Base on this price it too good to be true, for your info.
There no recall in the 5 or 6MT...5MT is still in production,6MT is still around for indent. All along only the 4AT stop production...and it was replace by the 6AT..Bro, u won't get your ride even u willing to wait for another 12 weeks...
Unless u pay them more as around my price than u will be getting it.. cos we know the cost of the car...the price he quoted you is almost at lost and not forgetting that the coe is on the rise..Well sometime price is not the main factor when buying a car... Good things dun come cheap, cheap things dun come good. In fact heard a lot of such story already... There no way u can sue them for the damages that u have lost over the waiting time...The consolation is at least they willing to refund u, some others out there dun even manage to get their deposit back...

:shocking:
Regards,

Jimmy Ang

I think they r pulling a fast one on u...there is no way they can quote u 95k
for the 6 spd mt...they probably misquote u n r trying to get out of it...
Seriously speaking, I think the best way out for u is to take the deposit n
walk away...dun bother to go thru all the hassle n take legal actions...it'll juz
waste more of ur time n money...n on top of that, u still dun get ur car...so, i
think the best thing is to take the money n go to another PI...

Now, this is something new to me. What kind of news u guys like me to clarify?
we dun import our own IU unit...so the main things has anyone ask the whoever owner whether what wrong have we done?..I know the story about this case, not in all case is the fault of PI or any car dealer out there.. I hope that the person involve in this a small issue case to really ask themselves whether does this issue cost them a big sum of money or waiting time or any funny gimmicks? I would gladly and confidently say...Not all all. Out of the thousand customer we have, only one unlucky guy happen to met such things.. It not out of 1000 there 100 have such cases right? So nevertheless, the main issue is we dun run from responsiblity, we solve them. I think all the 999 customer know about it.. i'm not against anyone just want to speak out. I've all along never wanted to talk anything about any other PI or what so ever.. I'll keep to my promise whichever anyone walk in to my showroom.

Thanks,

Jimmy

INXS 09-27-2006 07:06 AM

Dude, if you stand firm and admit that you guys cut cost by using recon, I still can understand. But whats the bullshit with importing IU? Hello?? Which world are you living in? I had a faulty IU, and had it replace before. I DIDN'T have to IMPORT my own IU! Whats with the lame excuse of importing IU? And I think most customers do not care about how big or small the amount is. Go steal $2 from a counter and explain to the cops that it is "a small issue case" and not "a big sum of money". Principles!! Integrity!! Does any of these words ring a bell?

NOooooo...synopsis: the 1 person who found out his IU is a recon unit is Si Bei SUAY, the rest who didn't know theirs is a recon unit is SUAY...

Emperor 09-27-2006 09:11 AM

Wait a minute. So its implied that 1 person may be si bei suay getting recon IU and the others are suay because theirs is recon and they do not know it or theirs not recon at all?

This is really a small matter. Considering the IU costs less than a 0.001% the costs of the car. But maybe what really wants is clarifications.
