[help] power steering problem......

Pls forgive my poor english below.....

tonight , i want to install my E-Manage U. into my 8 ....

the first thing i did was to release the battery , then setup the " wire" and took my original ECU out , those thing spent me over 2 hrs to finish it, coz original ECU really hard to get it out......

after that , i connected everything and start the engine.....
i found that my P/S light was ON , then i checked all the fuses and connectors were no problem ...... so i tried to connect back my original ECU , the "light" still ON ........

if you guys tried my same problem...... hope can share yours solution/s.... thx

ps. recently , every morning when i start my 8's engine , while i turn left/right my steering wheel must have some " vibration " occur.... but after i turn it serval times , those problem will be gone...... does you guys know why??? can it be solved ??? :)

Reset.....

When you disconnect the battery, the computer forgets where the "centre" of the steering sensor is - you have to tell it with the reset procedure.

Turn the ignition and engine on, then steer all the way left, all the way right, then left again. It's easier if you get moving, slowly. Then turn off and restart, the lights should go out.

The steering vibrations could be due tot he steering rack spoil.. you should get it checked out.... this is a common problem..

You can refer to this thread for the video to see if that's what your are talking about..

tis is a wear/tear tingy tat occur in times to com.tis 'mornin sickness' occur in stages.it'l onli get worse s time goes; turnin it several times til the engine is in full warm-up conditn;everytime the car is cooled, start, the prob starts too...the onli rectify, chg the whole steerin rack,& its quite a costly item,no joke man.
wat u saw in the clip fr sgrenesis is @ its 'almost most critical stage'.he'l hv to drive wif the prob, fightin the 'jerk' everytime he rolls off when the engine cools off.

i tried your method.... but the light still "ON".....
is there have any different between "left-hand side" and " right-hand side" car???
and "Turn the ignition and engine on" , is it must need the engine in running status?? or just turn the key to "ON" possition (engine havnt run) ??

" steer all the way left, all the way right, then left again." ,
after steer all the way left , do i need to hold it a second then go right ?? and the "last" left steer , do i need to hold it then start the engine????

ermmmm steering rack is something that looks like a rack? heh heh. It roughly cost about $2k-> parts alone.. have to factor in labour too. For the interest of safety... do get it fixed. $2k is less than $many many k in the hospital anytime of the day. =)
