Rx8 40th anniversary edition legitimacy
 

Hey guys

I am just about to buy an 8, and found an interesting one. but it's a bit off. It's a 2009/9 model, but 1st gen. it also has the 40th anniversary wheels, emblems on the side (also the seats but im not sure if that black leather + whitish cloth is anniversary specific). The anniversary editions were made in 2008 afaik, and i couldn't find any info about europe (outside of UK, which has right hand drive) getting any anniversary edition models. Also, one of the emblems is broken and the car is black which wasn't a color choice for this edition as of wikipedia.

With all this i think they swapped some things from an anniversary edition. Maybe i can check the rear suspension or call mazda with the vin number to make sure.

Does anyone have any info about anniversary edition in europe?

That is not a 2009.

Yeah, i wrote that its first gen. by 2009 model i meant that it was first registered in 2009. Also this post is obsolete now in regards of this specific car, but i would still be curious about the anniversary editions in europe, i did not find any official info about it.
