As introduction, although I have been in 'general discussion' for a couple of week but only just discovered this regional sub-site.

TTC 225 owner, just put down a £200 deposite with my dealer in the UK, colour unsure (red or one of the silvers) waiting for more info on red and how dark the tit grey really is.

Good to see some guys on the ball with the ordereing process problems (dealers v net) and number plate options. Very sad to see how poorly informed the dealers are though.

Hope to share many stressful hours here awaiting this cars delivery.

Cheers,

rael.

Welcome

Welcome! Good man!

Our objective here is to keep up to date and beat the Canada forum numbers.

I'm like you, I love the red in some pics and not in others.

I've seen cars in all the other colours in the flesh and think the Titanium is a cracking colour (the service manager at my local dealer has a special mx5 in Titanium with tan!)

I would like the Titanium or Silver with the Red/Black leather combination but it looks unlikely so I'm undecided.

My wife thinks the red is too flash for a forty something still what does she know. She has a black Jeep Grand Cherokee!

Welcome!

Cheers

Oilman,

Agreed, seeing pictures of the silver now posted on the general site (with black and grey tit too dark and red unknown) has swayed me towards silver. Red may well be too loud considering car looks etc, ie no need to attract additional attention.

My wife also runs around in a Grand Cherokee but in silver so we will match nicely!!

Ever thoughts about waiting until '04 to improve options including better colour and interior options. Also what is your experience of driving the rotary engine, I have none.

Rael,

Drove a mates RX7 once but feel RX8 will be very different.

Reading all the media coverage, the RX8 doesn't seem to have much lowdown grunt but over 4000rpm it starts to fly!

Could be all things to all men which suits me.

We'll have to see, it's a £22,000 punt but I like what I read.

The Titanium looks different in various light conditions as it seems to have some sort of silver fleck in it.

Cheers
Oilman

PS. Well done on the plate. Best not to personalise it, MY,HI etc ok for anyone buying it off you.
