Mines H1 RXB !

Morgan,

Thanks for the tip, Mines H1 RXB paid for and reserved.

There are loads available and would suggest those that want to buy get in before DVLA realise.

They will ask what relation it is to your initials but don't give it away.

Cheers

Well done ! :-)

I got 'M5 RXB' (or M's RX 8 with imagination).

I do think that the price of these will go up when they realize - so you never know - it may even be an asset...

The only problem is that there are new laws with Fonts and things so you will have to find somewhere that offers 'show plates' to get the best from it.
I dont mean silly fonts (they are v.naff) but I want a 'B' that has no little sticks to the left. (Look at an Arial font 'B' and compare to a Roman 'B' - you will see what I mean).

Also , to get the best you want half a letters space between the RX and the B.

I have found somewhere to make up the plate, just need to be aware that technically it is not legal. To be honest though , it is not like we are trying to hide with silly fonts or awful spacing so I would think we will be fine !

Glad you managed to get one !

Morgan.

Thanks,

Like yours too.

Happened to notice M1 RXB also available (my RX8).

There is no doubt that these plates are a bargain today and an
asset tomorrow.
I had a friend who bought half a dozen plates with TTT in them before the Audi came out. Once the car hit the streets he put them in the Sunday Times and made more than a grand a piece!

10 plates sold at a grand profit each is half the cost of my RX8.

Don't you think that the pics on the forum are getting less and less, let's hope there are a few more shows coming up!

Cheers

You gits. That's another 250 quid you have cost me.

Mine is L8 RXB ('a late RX8'? Whatever).

To be honest I've always though private plates were a bit naff. But I guess I'll probably get most of the money back when I sell the car and it will be nice not to feel it is 'getting out of date' after six months.

There are still 500-odd RXBs to choose from. I noticed that R22 ARY is also available for 250 quid - any takers? (personally I thought it seemed a bit too geeky).

Are these plates reserved for Aug delivery or owned now to be put on in August.

Also, why not go for the ie LV 03 RMB which also show date of regististration and could contain one first 2 initials. Presumably these would only be available after March this year.

You can buy these plates now on a retention document thru the DVLA web site.

They will ask when the car will be registered roughly.

Hurry though before they twig there's an RX8 (RXB).

I have been on the site (btw, H1 RXB was still available!), does one reserve for later or pay and take delivery now.

Also, will the old style have more value than new style RXB plates?

Just purchased M1 RXB (My RX8), I am not sure if its wise or not to be honest. May have value (if there are 2 identical cars up for sale) but may also attract all the wankers on the road.

See how I feel and the the RX8 frenzy develops, might sell mine later.

I reserved WST-RX888 (WST is the regional code, no way to change).
